We ordered one for granddaughter and found isssues with the product. The music would not play and the mechanism was already wound up too tight. Also, the globe seemed wet and damp with visible droplets on the bottom of the base. The battery compartment was also wet with visible rusting on the batteries. We set up a return and replacement but received a globe that played music but had even worse moisture problems than the first one and even worse rusting in the battery compartment. I suspect a leakage problem as both globes looked like they were missing fluid. The globe was slippery and oily feeling. We really appreciate Amazon's excellent return procedures however and ordered our grandchild a totally different item.

It was a gift for my granddaughter recital and I didn’t check it when it came and when the recital day came my granddaughter opened it up it was broken , the globe was not attached to the base and the ballerina was detached, now the return window is over and I can’t return it.

Sent this as a gift to my granddaughter but the music didn't work when she opened it. Several reviewers had this same problem but I decided to try it anyway, but beware. My daughter never got around to returning it before the 30 day window closed, so that's our fault. I can't say what the company would have done. A disappointing gift for a 7 year old who's just starting ballet.
