Great & Inexpensive little water pumps
I am very pleased with the size & quality of these pumps, and their effective water moving. I have a years old birdbath which allows evaporation quickly if I don’t continuously pump fresh water into the bowl. It is made to support a small pump, and this little unit really does the job. In fact, this pump is so efficient, I must clamp the outlet line to limit the amount of water it can pump out! Left to its own devices, it would overflow the ⅜” pipe leading to the outlet of the fountain. It can really move water! And, having a pump in reserve allows peace of mind for this years old birdbath that required substantial rehabilitation to work.

Affordable small submersible water pumps
I've been using these little pumps for almost a month now and they've been really good for my small hydroponic set up. They are corded electric, submersible and are as described by the seller. A common complaint seems to be noise. The only issue that I've had with noise so far seems to be when the pump is hitting the bucket I'm using in a weird way, which I just adjust placement of the pump, otherwise they are whisper quiet. I am also watching debris and roots to make sure that the pumps are not getting plugged by them, and so far they have stayed clean and quiet. Out of the box, there are two plastic outlets that can be used with the pump. One is 5/16, the other is a 1/2. I had an issue with one of the 5/16 outlets where it was not fitting properly. One end was too loose by maybe a hair, and the opposite end was too large and unable to fit inside the pump. I just opted to not use it and used the 1/2 instead. Seeing as these are cost effective, I didn't feel the need to send it back or get it replaced as the other outlet works just fine for what I'm using it for. I am happy with them so far and would purchase them again.

Not as strong as I thought it would be
Thought it would be stronger. It couldn’t even push water up a 24 inch hose.

Bought for Hyrdoponic unit
This was bought to place in the bottom of a white, food-grade bucket (5-gallon) to move some plants from my Aerogarden into a bucket with a grow light to give them a bit more room.I have the bucket about 3/4 of the way full and the pump on high, it barely moves the surface of the water.Comparing this pump with another brand of the same 80GPH the other brand is stronger and does have significantly more water movement in the same situation. The bottom of the unit has three suction pads and they do stick very well to the bucket. Also, I cannot hear the pump at all once it is submerged into the water.I believe for the strength of this 80GPH pump it is slightly over priced.

Quiet and adjustable! Worth every penny
I use these for every thing! I can't stand my aquariums being loud. My most recent DIY's:I replaced the Fluval Flex 15 kit pump with this adjustable 80gph pump. SO MUCH BETTER! I can control the output easier for my livestock and the sound is so much better!I shut off the, very finicky/noisy pump on the aquaclear 50, and after a good clean and reassembly I decided it was just going to stay unplugged. But I didn't want to loose my cycle or media space, so I grab another 80gph pump and place it into a plant basket, surrounded by course sponge . I run it attached to an air hose and run the hosing up through the original intake area (intake tube off and being cleaned by shrimp) and then run the hose under the media basket (snip a bit larger space for it to squeeze through) , and POW! Now I have a quiet betta friendly filter!I've also used this pump in a corner matten filter ( sponge sewed in a half circle) in a different (10g) betta tank . This allows me so much media space, biofiltration and its quiet. I do float plant basket over the output with a polishing pad for water clarity.

“Adjustable flow rate” is non functional.
This AQUANEAT 2pcs Submersible Water Pump, 50GPH claims to have an “ Adjustable flow rate”, but it doesn’t work. I purchased a set of two and neither adjusts flow rate. Don’t recommend.

Great pumps
These pumps arrived quickly and were in a basic package. These pumps are not quiet but not too loud. These pumps are a great value.
