very good option for the price!
i was surprised at how good quality this this. it is a solid build and you’ll want to make sure you have a sturdy tripod. the glass for the screen is solid. I will have to get a new holder for my ipad pro since it’s not large enough. i would recommend for the price it’s a great option!

Not worth it
The hardware on the rails that is supposed to hold the Ipad does not lock down. The case falls open because it wont close. I want to send mine back but the company that sells them does not return emails or texts.

Dissatisfied
It does not work with my laptop to set up and serve as a teleprompter. Don’t recommend!

I wish I had this years ago
When I started making YouTube videos about 12 years ago, I am not sure anything like this even existed. So I built my own teleprompter using some wood, a picture frame, a free software for prompting on a flat monitor from my laptop and a bit of hardware. It worked fine, but was quite large and bulky. Importantly, I learned a lot about what I like and don't like about teleprompters. This is compact, solid, and easy to use. If I had had something like this years ago, it would have been much easier to set up my videos! While the instructions are a bit sparse, this is not difficult to use either. If I had one minor complaint, it is that a slightly larger one (like my built-from-scratch one was) might be nice. But this is quite good and useful. The remote for start/stop is pretty easy to use with a little practice. I have not really played with the page up/down buttons or speed faster/slower buttons as you can see from the video. But I always set my prior teleprompter to be a bit "fast" then just pause/play as needed. This one does that same thing easily - either with the clicker button or the slider switch.I do wish there was a way to change the margins and spacing of the lines but this is not a big deal. It does allow you to change the size of the text, which is helpful, plus the color of the screen/text. I always have used black screen / white lettering. All that is easy to see on the mirrored screen for the inside use I have tested.I do not have a tablet, so I set this up using my Pixel 4 smartphone. The app is pretty straightforward. I could easily copy/paste text into it. I did have to set my phone a bit closer to me in the clamp in order to have the text appear more directly over the camera lens in the mirror. I tried to show this in the video, though I am not sure it really shows it that well. The clamp held my phone just fine.I was able to use both my Canon T7i DSLR and a small handheld camcorder without any issue. Adjusting their height was easy. Adjusting distance from the splitter screen and locking the shoe did require pulling the red locking arm out in order to swing it around to continue tightening with wider cameras like the DLSR. But that's a nice feature too. There is plenty of back/forth slot in the camera shoe to allow for many different cameras and positioning. This setup does allow for a 90 degree angle for cameras too - I did not test that as I have no use for it on my cameras. It was simple to balance the entire set up with various weights of cameras as there are many 3/8" and 1/4" threaded hole options for placing the teleprompter on your tripod. The sun shield keeps the text area quite dark so the text is easily visible. Note: As you can see in my video - the floor/ground will be obvious in the mirrored surface. However, there is a plastic screw cap under the phone clamp. I am unsure of it's exact purpose (the manual does not say and it does not loosen the phone/tablet clamp), but I would certainly use that to hold a black card with a hole in it to allow for a larger dark surface underneath the unit and my phone or tablet so text shows up better if necessary. And the entire thing folds up neatly into a small, well-padded carry case that is made from what seems to be some pretty durable material. Truly, this is a really nice set up and I am glad to have it for future use.

Comes with everything you need!
This teleprompter is incredibly adjustable for your own liking and video needs. My favorite part about this is how versatile the iPad holder is. It is perfect for a standard iPad and supports the device by clicking up onto the sides so it stays still, but this platform can also be used for a laptop of a similar size. The platform itself is sturdy and can hold substantial weight. The teleprompter overall is made of high-quality materials that don’t bend or break with some manhandling. The best part is that it comes with a carrying case that is perfect for travel. The inside of the case has a harder shell that protects the integrity of the teleprompter but the outside is a soft shell which makes it easy to pack and transport.Additionally, the setup for this is super simple and you can really just follow the steps on this advertisement to get this up and running. However, the directions that it comes with use pictures to walk you through all the steps. This is a really customizable teleprompter as you can adjust the reflecting table, lifting platform, and lighting with ease. The lighting adjustment uses Bluetooth to operate and this works great! The remote is small and can perform all the functions necessary to customize this to your specific project. The only issue I have here is that there are other teleprompters which collapse to store away but this one is rather bulky and bigger than the rest.If you’re okay with some bigger equipment, this is a great option and I recommend it!
