Great Reference/Learning Book
This author is great. I occasionally implement signal processing algos at work in FPGA's and use this book as a guide on how to optimize them to reduce resource use.

Major update to an incredible first edition
"Streamlining Digital Signal Processing" has found a special niche as a cookbook of sorts for the DSP implementer, with a presentation style that is much more accessible than your average journal article or conference paper. This book is not quite as useful for DSP beginners, who would benefit more from Lyons' Understanding Digital Signal Processing or a comparable text where the basics are explained.18 chapters have been added since the first edition, making this a major update. The content of the additional chapters is informative and useful, so I definitely recommend making the upgrade from the first edition. The chapters which are new to the second edition are listed below.in Efficient Digital Filters:"DC Blocker Algorithms""Precise Variable-Q filter design""Improved Narrowband Lowpass IIR Filters in Fixed-Point Systems""Improving FIR Filter Coefficient Precision"in Signal and Spectrum Analysis Tricks"Recovering Periodically Spaced Missing Samples""Novel Adaptive IIR Filter dor Frequency Estimation and Tracking""Accurate Guaranteed-Stable, Sliding DFT""Reducing FFT Scalloping Loss Errors without Multiplication""Slope Filtering: An FIR Approach to Linear Regression"in Fast Function Approximation Algorithms:"A Fast Binary Logarithm Algorithm""Multiplier-Free Divide, Square Root, and Log Algorithms""A Simple Algorithm for Fitting a Gaussian Function""Fixed-Point Square Roots using L-Bit Truncation"in Signal Generation Techniques:"Ultra-Low Phase Noise DSP Oscillator""An Efficient Analytic Signal Generator"in Assorted High-Performance DSP Techniques:"Efficient Resampling Implementation""Sampling Rate Conversion in the Frequency Domain""Enhanced-Convergence Normalized LMS Algorithm"

Bought for a colleague as a leaving present, he couldn't put it down, but then it is a superb book :)

A must have in your tech library
You will find a lot of detailed to optimise your DSP development and at least highlight some "non standard approaches"
