This is well made and very good for the price.

Excellent shade/sail. I put it up yesterday and today we've had hail, blustery winds you name it and its not only waterproof it stayed in place. So I would highly recommend this sail.

A package arrived very fast, thanks to a good, reliable supplier. Package contains folded membrane and four 1.20m each white 4mm twisted rope.Membrane looks strong, works well if properly secured above the ground. Comes with round metal brackets fixed inside double sewn straps. Happy with its strength! However installation needs clamps or separate, longer ropes to be wound up properly between higher trees' branches, top fence units or additionally fixed house / garage / shed wall round hook' screws.Originally added ropes in a package are far too short (ca. 1.20m each) to secure in every place. These are a bit too thin though and will easily overstretch in time.Membrane cannot be stretched over, which is OK, hence allows significant level of adaptation to achieve a maximum area covered / protected underneath. Does not allow rain to go through, but soaks a bit once moisture builds up. Then dries out later on, similarily to umbrella.Material is strong enough to withstand strong winds (already tested), rainy showers, easily allowing water to flush outside edges. Need to be secured with an angle / 20° slope to work. Otherwise will keep water on top, extending weight and changing shape afterwards.As a patio sunshade a pretty good idea. Can be also stretched among trees even above existing dining area (tent, gazebo, barbecue), for added UV and all weather protection.I temporarily use it to keep a car dry, free of leaves and 'birds contamination'. Could be really twice wider and longer, but on other hand it might affect durability and overstretch the fabric. Therefore I placed a tarpaulin above it to keep vehicle body out of wet membrane surface, for a better ventilation.Summary:PROS: Perfect value for money, good reliability, impressive strength, ease of use.CONS: Small in size (2 x 3m only), need constant rope length adjustments as streches a bit once soak in water, require fixing points and far longer cord / rope to secureTherefore bought in Screwfix - a Diall 50m x 8mm 600kg yellow polypropylene twisted rope for £7.50, but temporarily used 4mm Sizal, seen on photos).

We wanted a shade/canopy for our patio door, (the door faces the sun at the hottest part of the day.) As you can see in my photo, this was ideal. I didn't use the ropes included. Instead I bought a separate fixing pack for under £10, which included wall fixings and carabiners. I used bungee cords and tent pegs to fix it to the ground. Our living room is now much cooler in the hot weather, and we have a comfortable, private outdoor space to chill in. We've also discovered how nice it is to eat meals in the garden!

I’ve a south facing garden, this product gave a cost effective solution to the sun.

Bought it to fit a pergola, to find that it is not rectangular, but pincushion shaped, and accordingly covers only 70 percent of the area that a 2x3 rectangle would. Misleading specification. Returned it.

I ordered 4 of these and couldn't be happier. They look solid and well made with attention paid to strengthening straps and double stitching where needed.. the material is shower proof and not so dense as to block out ALL sunlight, but enough to take the glare and direct heat down.. just perfect.. 😁👍
