As I am a caretaker for a man with dementia who has always sat down to use the toilet, our life became more complicated with covid 19 delaying surgery for the hernia in his lower abdomen. This hernia causes the intestines to often relocate into his testicles, making the use of standard commode and toilet seat difficult and all too often hI ended up cleaning and sanitizing the tile...... More than you wanted to know. It has been 3 weeks since we had installation of a taller, elongated commode and this open front toilet seat AND today i cleaned and mopped the floor just because it was time and not because of an accident. A life saver for sure. Good quality, fits the commode very well. Would not recommend standing on this closed lid, but you should not be doing that anyway. A prudent purchase.

What I like about this seat is that it is both easy to install, and very easy to tighten if needed. I am a very large person and other brands have failed in as little as two months. This one has passed three months and is doing great.

This is a solid seat and excellent replacement for a OEM wood seat. It arrived well packaged and without damage. Easy install with a screw driver. Unlike other plastic seats I've purchased this isn't flimsy and flexible its solid and has some weight. On the downside, the caps that cover the mounting screws are very flimsy and one of mine was defective when received and won't stay down covering the screw. I didn't check it before installation and it wasn't worth the trouble of removing and returning when I discovered the problem. Otherwise this is an excellent choice and I recommend it.

I gave it 2 stars because I like the way the seat fits my big butt. Otherwise I would have given a 1 because the first day one side of the lid broke off. I wanted to return it, but I do not want to ship a used toilet seat. If the company would just send me a new one, I'd make this a 5 star. Well, after one more day, the seat totally broke off from the thing holding it in place. Cheap plastic piece of crap. No replacement for me, refund all the way.

Has a decorative, slightly rectangular shape instead of the standard oval. The bumper supports underneath are molded into the seat (everything is one piece), and are low so there is very little clearance between the seat and bowl rim. The seat is flat, it's not contoured for comfort. All in all, the plastic is solid and sturdy and this seems to be worthy purchase.

I replaced the provided hardware with metal bolts, washers, and nuts. It helped, but I do still have to adjust it from time to time because of the "slipping sideways" problem. I am going to try to find some stabilizers (couldn't find on Amazon) to further alleviate this problem. Also, the seat sticks to the skin when you rise. (Maybe I am sitting too long. LOL) I plan to try washable, reusable seat covers (haven't looked for them on Amazon yet).

I ordered an open front and received a closed oval. Nice and sturdy but not the one I wanted. However, I was tired of having the old cracked one pinch my butt, so I installed it rather than returning it and waiting for a Correct replacement. New box and clearly marked as a closed seat.

This toilet seat changed my mind about plastic seats. I have always purchased wood ones because I thought they were more durable. This one beats the flaws of wood. The little "nubs" on the underside don't bang loudly when the seat accidently falls down or break off. It holds up to heavy cleansers and scrubbing. I also love the ease of tightening the seat if it comes loose from the top instead of the underside of the toilet bowel. I am so pleased with this product!

Had to modify fixings to fit uk pan. Quality is ok but not a great fit.

You can't buy better than this seat.
