Easy install and good pressure at 2.5 GPM
Installation is easy. The included offset ball joint allows 180‑degree rotation, making it easy to adjust spray height and direction. The matte black finish matched whatever matte black shower arm that already existed from my wall. The pressure isn’t overwhelming even with 2.5 GPM. Seems to be just right. It delivers a drenching rain‑like flow that rinses efficiently. However, the other two spray modes are kind of useless at least to me. The massage stream pulsates in a spiral fashion but doesn’t really feel relaxing. The mist mode produces a fine spray that is sort of cooling?Overall, I like it a lot and look forward to showering.

Good showerhead
Great showerhead with 3 different types of spray. Good water pressure and easy to install!

Pretty good at 2.5gpm, not so much at 1.75. Needs high water pressure
I'll start with what works really well: The primary spray is a soft, relaxing, drenching rainshower. You definitely have to ask yourself what kind of shower you like. Do you want a powerful, firehose / pressure washer type spray? If so, this probably isn't for you (I'll mention alternates below). If you want a wide soft rainshower type spray that also has enough coverage to rinse head-to-toe, this is a good choice. When it is working under ideal conditions, I'd describe as almost like champagne -- it sprays bubble-filled jets at you. The "Statement" sets itself apart from other Katalyst models in how wide the spray is. For someone with wide shoulders, it's really nice to have a wide spray cover everything so you're not constantly shifting around to stay warm. With that said, I'd like to caution when this doesn't work out. First off, if you have poor water pressure, the Katalyst aeration system doesn't work. It requires a vigorous water flow to pull in air. Without strong water pressure, you'll find very little aeration in the jets and it just feels like a pitiful drip instead of a luxurious soft rain. The other situation where it doesn't work is the 1.75gpm model. Unfortunately none of the Katalyst models seem to work well at 1.75gpm, where the water streams are narrower and sparser. They all feel very underwhelming even compared to other water saving heads. Before mentioning alternatives, I purposely waited until this point to mention the other spray modes. TLDR I think they're all kinda useless. The massage swirling streams is very interesting of a sensation and I do use it pretty often. I wouldn't say it's much of a massage though, but I honestly don't think any massaging showerhead can really produce enough pressure to massage muscles. The mist/cloud mode is interesting -- if you've seen ads for Nebia or Miszei 'microbubble' shower heads, this is equivalent. I will say lately the mist showers are being recognized for their ability to produce small fast droplets that replace the function of soap, so it could be useful as part of your skin/hair care routine. However, the downside of a mist spray is that without a fully enclosed shower you will feel chilly when using one.So if you are the kind of person who thinks a good shower feels like a flood of gentle warm water, get the 2.5gpm version of this shower head. If you're in it for any of the alternate spray modes: don't bother, it's totally not worth the money. But if you're looking to save water at the 1.75gpm flow rate: Don't bother, you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for something that saves water or feels like you're being blasted by a pressure washer, I highly recommend the High Sierra showerheads with an adjustable flow rate valve. That allows you to dial it from a gentle rain to practically being blasted with a fire house, and those shower heads really do feel satisfying at basically every flow rate. The downside is that the spray isn't as wide as this one. We use High Sierra in all the guest baths and save this Kohler Statement for our master bathroom.

Worth The Money!
This is a special shower head. I removed the water saver (had to cut it with a sharp knife). It's wonderful to take a shower with this shower head. I purchased an adapter so I could change the angle of the shower arm for the size of our shower. My wife loves to shower with the mist mode. All three modes are great and you change them with the push of a button which is a great feature that requires no effort compared to shower heads that you have to turn to change the mode.

Outfitting all the showers
My only problem with this is the price… not even the price of the shower head, but the inevitable rise in my water bill that will result from using this amazing shower head.

Item was bought as “used”
Purchased shower head at a reduced price since it was listed as used. When I received the product it had looked like it was run over which indeed it had since tread was clearly visible on box. To my surprise the item ended up being in perfect condition. The manufacturers seal was still around the box so it had never actually been used. After a week of using I’m glad I went this route. I love the shower head, it’s got great power, the mister has incredible range and I don’t really use the message mode but it looks snazzy. Most important the thing is made well enough to withstand an auto mishap and not be road kill.
