Heavy duty premium MG with lots of weapons
I love this Gunpla for all the same reasons I love the MG Buster Gundam. This actually shares the basic inner frame with that kit and the MG Strike as well. All of these kits have a great solid ABS frame that doesn’t limit articulation. I love the construction. Solid and flexible too. Funny enough this Gundam is similar to the Buster Gundam in other ways as well. The head is very similar and they both have rockets fired from the shoulder. This is the first time I’ve wanted to get two of the exact same MG before. One to display with the Assault Shroud, and one to display as the bare Duel Gundam. In it’s bare form, it’s like a sleek version of Strike, with less armor like the 00 Gundam. With the extra armor plating on, it’s seriously bulky and has a lot of detail and armaments.Speaking of Armaments, this kit comes loaded with weapons. The only other kit I’ve built that came with this many guns is the MG Ground GM. This Duel gundam comes with a cool beam rifle, a huge beam bazooka, and a rifle that can also attach to the shoulder of the Assault Shroud. So you can load on everything included at once. These weapons and the hands included are compatible with all the MG Seed accessories.I like the color scheme of this Gundam. Shades of blue with orange to contrast is very pleasing. There’s also a great level of color separation. Having the assault shroud on actually adds more detail and color. All together, there are 3 shades of blue, 2 shades of gray and orange. The possibility is based on the X-Seed frame and is comparable to the MG Strike or MG Buster. When it is has the shroud off, it’s slightly better than those in the hips thanks to the reduced armor. With the shroud on, the whole articulation is somewhat limited. Mostly around the shoulders and hips.Highly recommended Seed MG. I love these kits where you build the final assembly and then add on armor like the Virtue. This kit is basically loaded with armor and accessories on top of an already solid base that would be a good kit on its own.

Fun build
It took about a day and a half to build and was so much fun. Very sturdy and a great addition to my gundam collection.

No more 1/144s for me!
My first MG kit and I was very impressed. I've build a few 1/144 HGs before and while I enjoyed them for the build and the relative affordability I disliked the smallness and light weight of them. After building a few of the 1/100 IBO models (I found that I preferred the size but the weight of the figures didn't feel right for the size) decided to give the MG series a try.I picked the Duel despite disliking the series because I loved the clean design and I'm a sucker for armor gimmicks. It was a challenging build in comparison to my previous experiences but if you take your time you'll have no problem. The finished product is fantastic even with no paint (I just panel line with ultra fine marker and this suit doesn't have that much detail in comparison to other gundam) and it feels solid, like a high end action figure you would buy.Very impressed and will be building more MGs in the future.

Great build, holy Gunpla!
Awesome kit and really fun to build. Joints are tight and if you remove the armor it is super posable. The armor is cool but falls off during posing, epically the waist parts. Comes with a couple normal stickers and a sheet of water slides. Accessories are nice and it was a quick clean build.

It’s Okay…
Over it’s okay. The shroud armor has problems staying in place when they’re being put on. You have to really put it a certain angle to get them to stay.

Go basic with lots of guns or armor up with even more guns.
Pretty much two kits in one, Looks great either way.-The hyper bazooka which works best without the Assault Shroud although it is doable with it.-Shoulder railgun can be used like a standard rifle as well. The Assault Shroud armor snaps on very easily and is relatively secure when attached, except for the front skirt armor which can be knocked off somewhat easily due the design of the attachment.(This is the biggest flaw of the unit but can be remedied easily with sticky tack or such) For me, it stays on just fine as long as I'm not moving the legs too much but it can be easily reattached. Lots of decal choices for customization. Well balanced with or without the Assault Shroud.

Not your everyday Gundam
Decent build. Nice details, and good part separation for an older style MG kit. No screws in this one! I bought it for a little art project I am working on with the Nobel, and size is going to be a slight issue, as the Nobel is HG only... I am pretty sure I can make it work with some slight modifications, but this particular kit, looks almost to good to want to cut any of it up! I won't be using any of the extra armor pieces, so I didn't assemble them, however, I may find a use for them in an upcoming Mecha Musume build I have been contemplating...

Great quality kit as usual from Bandai
Great quality kit as usual from Bandai, and loads of pieces to keep you busy (14 components just in the head). Instructions are clear enough to build without being able to read Japanese, as is usually the case with Bandai product. Another stellar kit which is sure to look good once built.

Great product. Lots of detail
Great product. Lots of detail. I haven't put the shroud on yet but the movement of all the joints is impressive
