Brings back memories of a great show. Crazy that it's been close to 40 years since I was at the SU Carrier Dome, and I am so glad to relive the memories with this video!

Although I was skeptical at first with the 4k upscale back down to 1080p Blu-ray, the results are somewhat very satisfying. Considering this concert came from actual tape not film, the upscale actually works. I’ve seen shows of many artists on YouTube upscale with these new AI upscale programs with little success in not ruining faces or movements in shots. This does it very well. Does it look like it was shot on film then put to Blu-ray , no. But this conversion works for me. The audio mix is amazing , the atmos track is phenomenal, the mix is so well done, clean and clear and poppy where it can be in the top speakers. Very atmospheric track.The 2.0 pcm is phenomenal too as is the stereo included. With no artifacts or crazy compression. Princes audio team the estate has chosen for every release thus far minus 2015 (paisly mix) of the purple rain album itself not the bonus discs has been TOP NOTCH. They care about sound quality and it’s sooooo appreciated. This set is wonderful even if you own the vhs or dvd already it’s worth the upgrade. For new and old fans alike. Thank you prince estate , for another stellar release !

Ok. I’m a total believer! Lifelong Stones/Zeppelin/ Beatles/ you name it music fan. This performance is off the charts great. If you have a Dolby Atmos setup or sound bar, it will blow your mind. Buy it, crank it and you will see and hear one of the greatest live performances ever!!!!!

I grew up in Minneapolis and started seeing Prince way back in the late 70's early 80's. He was great way back when he was a teenager and up to date of leaving us. This os worth whatever his estate charges. The Blu-Ray video is even better.

Visually, it is slightly better than the previously released DVD, not too impressive. The audio, however, has been remixed and sounds quite good. Vocals are louder and Brown Mark's BASS is up front and personal.I hate the packaging, being all cardboard slips, but this is the way most releases are nowadays.Now let's release the Parade SDE.

This set captures Prince at the Peak of his commercial powers. After Purple Rain, he became an Icon.Either way, Music fans won.

Loved the CD & DVD. I saw his Pruple Rain tour in the Twin Cities with some good friends. Brought back some great memories.

I had this on DVD few years ago but now this remaster version is really good

Perfect example of this artist's power; not only his talent, which, to me surpasses gobs of others - throughout decades, but his selection and managing of supporting musicians.Rare stuff.

Nach meiner Auffassung ein "must have" für Prince Fans.Die Abmischung und Aufnahmequalität ist für ein Live-Album als hochwertig anzusehen und das Album lohnt sich alleine schon für diese Liveversion von Purple Rain :-)

Des musiciens au top, le génial guitariste idem...période exceptionnelle de cet immense artiste...Et colis impeccable, comme d'habitude...

Che dire, è un concerto di Prince e come tale è un evento. Avrei aggiunto uno dei suoi mitici aftershow disseminati di chicche e inediti ma tant'è. DA COMPREARE assolutamente.
