Best cure for puppy exhaustion
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this when I was in a puppy induced sleep-deprived haze. Honestly, I just thought it would make for a funny picture. It was a total impulse purchase and I didn’t even glance at the other reviews. Boy am I glad that I didn’t because they probably would’ve turned me off to buying it!We have a puppy that’s now teething, and I’ve been giving him the puppy Kong treat toys because he’s not quite strong enough to carry around the bigger sizes. Even if we completely fill the puppy kong up with peanut butter, our puppy has it figured out so well that he finishes it in under 5 minutes.This turkey leg treat toy on the other hand occupies him forever! I recorded the video for this review about 30 minutes ago now and he’s still only halfway through the turkey leg.In the video for the product, they mention mixing some water (only a little bit!) in with 3/4 cups of dog kibble, filling the turkey leg up with the soggy food, and freezing it for a couple of hours. The water dribbles out through the holes on the sides, so my recommendation is to put it in a plastic container before putting it in the freezer to prevent your freezer from getting all messy. I figured the kibble would fall out of the top hole when we took it out of the freezer, but I held it upside down and not even a crumb came out. So much less messy than peanut butter which we usually put in these.This turkey leg has held up to quite a few meals - I bought it almost 2 months ago now. I’m not sure how other people’s puppies have torn through it unless they left it empty with their dog for hours and didn’t check on them. Our puppy (20 lbs. medium goldendoodle) is teething right now and just chewed through the baseboard on our wall, so he’s at least an intermediate destroyer. So far, this turkey leg only has a few scratches and one big bite mark on the bone. Overall a great durable product, especially for only $7.FYI, I couldn’t find any mention of how to clean it in the Amazon product description or on their website. I reached out to the Chew King company and they said the turkey leg is *top rack dishwasher safe*! Score!

First treat toy ever and he would only eat out of it out of my hand but he's slowly learning! Opening was large enough to make sure there was no food stuck on the sides! Durable and am planning on buying another for family members. Look he's eating a turkey leg!! Haha

its much larger than I expected ! my dog loves it , she has been working on getting out of the treat from it for a long time. its a good quality treat dispenser and last for a long time. I highly recommend this item for your dog as a treat dispenser other than a chew toy !

It looked like hard rubber but
It looked like hard rubber but..... 1 year old lab chewed the end off in less than an hour. I am afraid to let her play with it, she might eat the rubber. Not recommended for chewers.maybe for puppies.

Not durable
It looked really cute, but I join other recent reviewers whose dogs have chewed off the white part. It lasted about half an hour with my dog. I hope that the brown part will still work to hold treats, but it is not cute any more.

Not as durable as you would think.
I'm super disappointed about this toy... My golden destroyed the white part of this toy within 30 seconds of giving it to him. While the brown portion is equivalent to a kong and made of more durable silicone, the white portion is more like hard plastic and was easily destroyed.
