Fermenting made easy
I got this kit to have a go at fermentation - first kimchi and then a ghost pepper sauce. The weights and airlock make the process extremely easy and by the second batch close monitoring was no longer required. This kit is simply the right tool for the job and is worth every penny.

These work just fine and are easy to use.
I've made 2 batches of saurkraut, and 2 batches of fermented peppers for hot sauce. These work just fine and are easy to use. They fit regular wide mouth Mason jars perfectly. It's a nice system, and the packaging is sturdy and convenient enough that you can use it to store the stuff in if you feel so inclined.

This is a beautifully packaged kit with proper written instructions
This is a beautifully packaged kit with proper written instructions. Very nice, and even detailed instructions for the neophyte on how to make sauerkraut. I bought one for myself and one for a friend. The glass weights are lovely. I do think they could be slightly heavier... but they work. The lids are a little weird. Not sure how the gas pipe thingie is supposed to push down into the weight. I do fill my kraut jars very, very full though. But because the lid and chimney are plastic, I feel a little like I could break the chimney piece pushing it down into the glass weight. Not sure how that is supposed to work. But, with that said, overall a lovely set.

Decent
The airlocks work well and I haven't had any issues with them, but the weights are annoying to use. To fit in the jar (I've been using 64 oz wide mouth "Ball" mason jars), you have to drop the weights just right or else they fall diagonally and get stuck . I accidentally broke a mason jar trying to get a weight out that had gotten stuck in the opening. Also, the weights just move to the side after a while and sink to the bottom when fermenting things like peppers, leaving a bunch floating at the top.
