They are not 8 oz. Cups. They measure 6 oz. cups. So I usually fill it and it fills 2 large mugs.

Q: can this coffee pot be used on a ceramic cooktop?

It can be used on a glass cooktop....is ceramic different? I can't see any problem, as the pot is all glass.
