Lacks HUGE amount of information!!
I had hopes that this would be exactly the book that I was looking for - especially when the "2nd edition" in the Kindle format had added an additional 200 pages of information that wasn't included originally. I eagerly opened the Kindle edition and was immediately disappointed. I checked the Wisconsin pages first as I'm most familiar with my home state and found that there were virtually NO ENTRIES for the entire north of the state where the great most of camping is done - nothing from the Northern Highlands/American Legion State Forest - totaling nearly 900 great campsites - nothing from the Nicolet Nat'l Forest with over 46 campgrounds in it!! Even Governor Dodge State Park way down just west of Madison - maybe the "crown jewel" of Wisconsin's State Parks wasn't even noted on the map. Like other reviewers have written, this book focuses on camping right near the Interstate Highways - and not much else. I do my utmost to camp far away from the nearest major highways, so the book had nearly no useful content for me. I'll have to keep looking for a source that contains information on all the country's great State Parks... but I'm not seeing much available. I have, unfortunately, returned this Kindle book for a refund.

A book you can use
I purchased this book just before we left on a cross country trip. In advance I plotted out the route, circled all the parks in each state. We had a goal of 500 miles a day. I programmed addresses of the parks into the GPS until I found one close to our target goal. We stayed in many of the parks listed. All were as described and the directions to find them easy to follow. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who travels frequently by RV or even if you are tenting across the country. We found parks with electric and water and one gem of a COE park in Kentucky with all utilities and cable that after our senior pass discount was half off its already low rate. My only complaint: it doesn't cover enough highways and byways. Looking forward to Book Two that covers more interstate roads. I loved this book, you will too...

Wonderful Book
Wonderful book for RV trip planning. As a relatively new big rig owner, this book was invaluable in helping us plan trips and pick out all of the right parks for our rig. I really like how the author has organized and laid out the book. For each state, you can go to the one you are interested in, look at the map, get a big picture, and then drill down into all the details. It has all the info for the park websites, GPS coordinates, contact info, exit numbers, etc. It also has summary review comments for each park. I find it really easy to use, and a great tool in planning my trips. It is very well written, and conveys the spirit of a true RV'er.

Good book; well organized
Good book; well organized. 4 stars because some states just have 6-8 suggestions off one highway across vs. some that go north and south but still handy if taking these routes that are suggested. Nice to have someone vet an area before you. :)

A Gem of a Book
So informative and had everything we needed to work our way around the different parks. it was so useful to know which ones had hook ups and compare costs. This is a must have for first time RV'ers to the USA
