No more struggle
I've been cutting my dogs nails for over 2 decades. Recently, as my current dogs have gotten older, it's just been a very stressful situation every time we have to cut nails. Last month I decided I was just going to start taking them to the salon to avoid the stress, but the salon was also not able to do it! Thats how bad these dogs were. This was my last resort and I could bot be happier. I bought a pull up bar to hang over my door to hang the hammock and it did the trick. No more struggling and I was done in less that 5 minutes per dog. I also bought a nail grinder vs the clipper which I have always used and voila! Again, worth giving it a try, it was literally my last resort.

Work smarter not harder
Product worked but you better have a game plan before starting. My puppy would not let me touch is nails. It has been a huge struggle. I ordered this product thinking, "why not? I've tried everything else.". I had a doorway pull up bar already and a rachet strap. I draped the ratchet strap over the chin up bar as pictured. The straps provided are a joke, don't bother. Then, I placed two bar stools under the ratchet straps. I got my doggie Dremel nail grinder and an onion bag (you heard right). Next, on the floor, I slipped my pups front legs into the sling like a harness and clipped the front with the provided clip. Then the back legs, one at a time and clipped the sling closed. The back leg holes were a bit smaller than I hoped, but he wasn't going to be in this rig all day and the fabric is forgiving. I scooped the pup up (40 lbs) and put him on the bar stools. I then hooked the ratchet strap to the clips on the sling. I slowly pulled the stools away and revealed the beauty of this device. Yes, he tried grabbing the doorway and the stools and me, but then he gave in. I grabbed my Dremel and onion bag. If your dog is a furry beast like mine, put the onion bag over his paw and pull back gently to expose his nails. Work smarter not harder. Then, get to work. I feel like the Dremel can get the nail hot if you don't alternate nails. So, I kept moving. I only did the front paws cause I didn't want to traumatize him too much. I actually feel like this will work in the future! Product included clippers which would probably work, but I had an insident before with a different clipper and opted for the Dremel. When done, I hugged my pup and lifted to free him from the rachet strap lowing him to the floor. I did all this alone with a ver uncooperative dog. If I can, you can too.

Works great but
The hammock part works wonderful , the scissors that came with the order do not cut much of anything so if you are hoping you get it all in one. Be careful but I have extra pairs so no worries there.

Perfect for what we need.
It feels a little flimsy but actually held my 60lb American Bully to trim his nails.

Made it easier to cut my dogs nails.
He hates when we cut his nails. This made it way easier. Once he was in it, he actually let us cut them. The nail clippers are not that good though. I recommend you buy some millers clippers instead they are much better. The carabiner's and straps are good better than the s style designs.

Just make sure you have set up to lift them
These have made it much easier to trim my dogs nails. I no longer have to spend 70$ a month to bring them to groomer. I can do it myself with very little resistance from the dogs.

Life saver
Had nothing but problems trying to cut my bully's nails. He would put up such a big fight. Bought this and have no more problems!

XL worked for my 115 lb English (pocket) Mastiff
We have an elderly English mastiff rescue who was surrendered due to a littlle incontinence and allergy issues. She is our pocket mastiff cause she only weighs 115 lbs and is our smallest furry family member. Sbe hates her toes clipped so we had the vet attempt the task which took four lab techs and two separate attempts to complete the daunting task. She might have some hyena and dingo in her genes cause of her power and evasion moves.I ran across this grooming hammock completely by accident while checking out doggy probiotics options that may help with her unfortunate allergies, although our raw diet has alleviated the vast majority of her symptoms. I also ordered Floro Rope Clip Grow Light Hangers, 2 for under $7, that can support up to 150 lbs each.Drilled a couple holes in our 2x8 floor/ceiling joists and Installed two hooks for suspending the grow light hangers. Over the next few days we left the grooming hammock laying on the floor so she had to walk by it and get use to it. Then we placed her in it a couple of times while just holding the hammock by hand then had treats and play time afterwards. Suspended her in it without doing anything but giving affection then let her down and had treats and playtime. Finally, placed a table under the suspension system, got her in he hammock and lifted her on the table then hoisted her just enough that she could not leverage her Tasmanian Devil attributes to avoid her new shoes. She still gave a valiant attempt to pull her legs away but we got those sharp little daggers off her paws. Turns out she hates the toe clippers but is fine with nail filing, by hand, so I'm gonna try the Dremel next time and leave the clippers for the other furry family members that almost sleep through their pawdicures.Glad I came across this grooming hammock, it made a maddening experience into a quick and relatively painless task. Now that she has had a good experience followed by Greenie reward the process should continue to evolve into a routine rather than terrifying chore. Eventually she might not require suspension at all.The hammock could use some Velcro on the suspension arms that would allow the two front arms then the two rear arms to connect whilst one is attempting to wrangle paws into the leg openings thus making it easier for one person to perform the task while the dog is performing evasion tactics.Did not use any of the other items provided. The nail clippers provided are for small dogs or cats, the file isn't the type or size we use, use file from human pedicure. No need for scissors especially around a crazy dog attempting to escape, just becomes a prison shank followed by police reports and an ER visit.
