It works with a little help!
This product was well worth the money. Now granted it does not fit correctly with me Heil PR40 Microphone, but as others have indicated I was able to shave of very carefully the red rubber/plastic inner ring. It was more work than I anticipated because I'm OCD and I wanted it to look just right. So if you can be patient and use some DIY skills it will work. Much more affordable that it competitors at twice the price.

Can work with other Mics
I really like the quality AVerMedia accessories, and really loved the color and diameter of the is pop filter. However, above all I love the mounting ring with is high quality silicone ring isolator and clean ridged post mount. I was able to modify it to fit my HEil PR-781 in about 10 minutes. I simply used a sharp utility knife blade and worked it slowly around the silicone ring (keep the ring in the plastic collar) to gradually decreasing its diameter until it fit over the mic, out of the box its a bit too tight. Lastly because in have a boom shock mount I also had to cut the pop filters mounting rod as it was too long and hit the band ring. I attached a picture that shows it modified with the mic and mount. Love the way it looks and sounds. The filter disperses the voice wind perfectly and I am getting better audio reports over the heil foam screen.

This thing isn't effective at stopping plosives.. the entire point it exists... you had one job, AM
This thing is cheaply made.. and most importantly ineffective.. I HIGHLY recommend just springing for the ACTUAL filter if you're buying it to use on one of the EV RE series.. its a REALLY bad product in general, but... I know people just want to know the following so here you go:Regardless of RE20, 320 or 27ND.. YES.. if you take a craft/xacto in there and shave a little of the red gasket off, it DOES fit them.. completely ineffective on ANY microphone (more on that later) but yes, it "fits" them..HOWEVER... whether or not you can use it with the pop filter on it depends entirely on what SHOCK MOUNT you're using.. With all 3 models of the RE series.. If I'm using the actual 309A shock mount (the giant "ugly" one) then THIS FILTER WILL NOT FIT ON THE MICROPHONE WHILE ITS IN THE SHOCK MOUNT.. The 4 stabilizers that run along the microphone are too close to the body for this pop filter's ring to fit in between them.If you're using the Heil PRSM shock mount for your RE series, then you're in luck... if you can call using this pop filter being lucky??? Because it DOES fit on them if you're mounting them in THAT shock mount instead of the shock mount designed specifically for it by electrovoice.. But just because you can, doesn't mean you should.. again.. this thing is going to be crap at actually stopping plosives regardless of the mic its on..OK, that being said... Please.. if you're looking at this because you just don't want to spring for one of the (like 2-3x the price) filters that you've seen elsewhere, either keep looking or just rip it off quick like a bandaid and buy the expensive one. Because this thing??? Trash.. I'm not even talking about its overall quality or materials, I mean whether or not it does what it's supposed to.. redirect air from hitting the capsule, forming a plosive. It does NOT do that.. it SOMEWHAT cuts back on it, but.. this isn't like a Stedman where the pattern of the single plane metal surface has been specifically designed to completely redirect the air coming through it AWAY from the capsule.. Its more like the FOAM/FABRIC ones that simple create a tiny bit of a barrier.. only LESS effective than those because its a thin single sheet of metal instead of several foam layers. Its like AM looked at the concepts for these different products, said "OH, that'll work just great in theory" and then slapped a price on it without actually testing it..Now look.. the actual higher dollar pop filters for those mics are FAR from perfect.. I'll be the FIRST to admit they're a complete ripoff. I have 4 of them (3 technically one broke), trust me.. they're insanely overpriced.. I'm fairly positive the metal used to make them is THINNER than the welding rods used in manufacturing them.. SO.. yeah even the expensive ones have problems and shortcomings.. BUT THEY ALSO STOP PLOSIVES... THE ENTIRE POINT THESE THINGS EXIST...Hold this thing in front of your hand, and blow.. tell me I'm wrong. Better yet.. put a lit candle on the other side of it, and see how easy it is to blow the candle out. At least the filter I received...??? I might as well have had nothing there at all. The Stedmans and other pop filters I have (and trust) don't allow that.. I can blow towards that candle until I pass out and it's still lit.. not even flickering.. I could probably sigh loud enough through this thing to blow the flame out... Now, whether that's some kind of problem that happened in manufacturing to MY specific unit?? Who knows.. I can tell you, what I received looks just fine, and yet doesn't function as its advertised..Considering this pop filter is clearly a ripoff meant to look like the others, I can't help but just assume they ARE garbage when it comes to how effective they are, and their entire existence is essentially AM and their customers with a "Form over function" mentality.. which is ALWAYS great when it comes to audio.. (Big /S on that last sentence for anyone needing it)So, yeah.. I'd have already requested the return on this thing except I stupidly modified that red silicone ring to fit a larger mic..AM.. or AVM.. depending on how you want to abbreviate it.. stick to making antiquated capture cards and overpriced webcams..

Great for RE20/RE320...with some DIY
This pop filter is a good size, is made of solid materials, and does what it advertises. It's obviously not made for the RE320, which is the microphone pictured here, but 5 minutes with my utility knife made it fit just fine. I shaved down the inner red silicone ring a little at a time until the black plastic ring nearly closed.Works great, and for half the price (or less) of other metal pop filters I've seen that fit the RE20/RE320!-Emma

My Re/27 was not a fit. Sent it back

Too mic specific!
Tried putting this on my RE 320 but it did not work properly. This pop filter is designed for a specific mic. I had such high hopes because it looks great!

Just what I needed
With a small modification, I was able to fit this on my RE22 and RE27. The pop screen did not filter enough for us but I was able to add a Rycote Foam Filter to the back of the screen.

Poor quality
The rubber isn't grippy enough to keep you from having to overtighten, which is not good.

Good pop filter, works with Rode Procaster with mods
Works well with my Rode Procaster after shaving down the red rubber a bit. Feels solid, easy install.Would love to see AVerMedia make other rubber rings available as a extra purchase, a slimmed down version done up in black would be a perfect addition that i would buy.

With a bit of modification, you can fit this to most larger mics.
Small, neat and looks really cool. It has a relatively mild de-plosion effect, but enough that you can hear the difference clearly. A few minutes with a sharp blade can remove enough of the red silicon ring to fit my Rode Procaster (50mm diameter).
