These are really handy for covering a drain hole in the sink. They are shiny stainless steel and look better than the other device we'd been using (a black plastic strainer that fit over the drain). The old one worked fine but this one has the little handle so it's easy to pick up and since it matches the sink it looks nicer. And you get two of them, so it's convenient for our two bowl sink.

This sink strainer arrived as pictured/advertised. I purchased this to fit into my sink with the standard Insinkerator disposal I had purchased years ago at Home Depot. Some expressed concerns water would not completely drain from the sink, due to the raised lip of the strainer, or that it would significantly slow down the rate of drainage. As the strainer is lightweight it does allow water to seep under the lip so my sink does drain completely. The strainer may have slowed the drainage rate slightly but not enough to casually notice. I purchased this strainer about 6 weeks ago. It so has kept its shine and has not rusted. The handle is still intact. It still looks like new although I hand clean it daily. It is relatively easy to clean w2ith the sink's sprayer, dish soap and water. I am NOT a paid reviewer. I would buy this again.

I use this over my garbage disposal because some of my smaller knives kept falling in! It works great, looks great, fits well and well made.

I purchased this sink strainer from Amazon. This purchase comes with (2) sink strainers. They are very sturdy and they have a handle on them. They are easy to use and pick up out of the sink. They are made of stainless steel and are 4 1/2 " diameter. I have a garbage disposal and you are not supposed to use a strainer, but I use one anyway. I think this set of sink strainers was priced average. I like this product and I would recommend it.

A little pricey if you only are going to use one, but it works like a charm. Holes are sized perfectly so water drains without the strainer clogging, but the undesirables are caught.Go with stainless steel strainers. Plastic, rubber and silicone versions get nasty over time. Certain foods will stick to silicone. These versions also tend to have a thicker "lip" that prevents the water from draining quickly, which leaves muck behind in the sink.This model has a handy flip away handle, too, so emptying is clean and simple.

The handle falls off and water pools since there are no holes on the side.

I didn't have high hopes for this. I tried all types of replacement strainers when ours broke; stem ones didn't fit the diameter letting waste go down the sides, the mesh ones looked gross as little bits of debris stayed lodged in the mesh. This one fits the drain well and has enough weight that it doesn't slide too much. It's easy to clean and looks nice - serves the purpose better than anything I could find locally.

I've been using and replacing the stainless steel screen strainers for years and the screen gets gross and bent and eventually comes apart from the ring. I saw these new ones and took a chance. I love them. They are very sturdy, fit completely over the drain, and are easy to lift out with the little handle which lays nicely to the side.
