Literally What It's Suppose To Do.
I'm using an ASRock Deskmini as an emulation machine for an arcade machine, with its form factor being ideal for the circumstance. I was fine with using the three USB ports on it: One for my control panel for two players, one for my wireless keyboard and mouse, and one more for either an accessory or a storage drive for file transfer. What got me to purchase this was how much of a premium USB ports became once I wanted to output audio through a 2.1 speaker system, but lacking a 3.5mm audio jack that isn't for headphones. That is where this came in.Installation is the only problem I had with this unit. It screws onto the case just fine, and plugs into the USB interface just fine. Trying to get the mother board back in there was another story. The cable would drop towards the opposite end of the case, stopping the MB from sliding in. I used a cable tie to suspend it above, but that resulted in the cord obstructing the CPU fan. I was ultimately able to get the cord suspended enough and away from the fan for a comfortable fit, but it did result in injuring my hand from within the case. That isn't even going into how much of a pain it was to remove the USB covers. My tip for installation is have gloves handy, some pliers, a flathead and philips screw driver, some wire ties that you can slide through the grill, and plenty of patience. By the end, I was pleased with the results. I now have two extra USB ports for when I want to swap out my keyboard or plug in an extra controller, and allow a USB audio plug to output audio to my speakers, while keeping all of it low profile. To summarize: It is difficult to set up comfortably, but if the end goal was to get more USB ports, then you certainly got it.On a side note: A lot of it started because the Deskmini I have lacks a 3.5mm audio jack on the rear, and the attachment for it has been out of stock for a while. The one I found and could had purchased... let's put it like this: the alternative to all this was importing that cord from the UK for roughly $80 or more.

Functions as expected. As much a pain in the butt to install as others have mentioned.
This is exactly as described...a 2-port, USB 2.0 cable/bracket, that adds 2 additional USB 2.0 ports to the ASRock Deskmini barebones PCs. To generalize the installation...you remove the knockouts from the case wall, use the supplied screws to fasten it to the case, and plug the other end to the motherboard. The cable end is keyed to match the board pins, as any good cable like these are. That said, just as others have mentioned in the reviews, getting the motherboard reinstalled with this connected, can be quite frustrating. The cable needs to be long enough to allow the board to be fully removed, then tuck out of the way when the board is fully installed. This can either be towards the rear, tucked along the side of case, or towards the side, tucking it across the front of the case. This latter arrangement, may require a pull-string to get the excess cable moving as desired, unless you stuck one of the feet there, to stand the case on edge.Anyways, the frustration is worth it, to get 50% more USB ports for this little computer, for an entirely reasonable price.

Difficult to install
Like other reviewers, I had a very hard time installing this. The cable is long enough that it gets jammed up between the front of the case and the motherboard tray, but it's short enough that you can't hold on to it to keep it out of the way. Another reviewed mentioned using a hooked piece of wire to hold it out of the way; I'll try that again if I ever need to open the case again. Other than that though, it works great and adds two more USB 2.0 ports to the case.

Working fine, not too difficult to install.
I have read some having difficulties to fit the cable within the case and making it reach the motherboard USB port at the same time. The case has a plastic clip inside, at the opposite side from that of motherboard USB connector.Fixing the cable to that clip makes closing the case with the cable connected a simple task.

Needed
The A300W lacks USB ports, this solves that. Cable was more than long enough to reach outside the case for easy connection to the motherboard before putting it back in.

It works well.... there is a flaw
Pro:Works as designed, adds 2 additional USB ports for the A300 Deskmini series.Straight forward install.Cons:The form factor causes issues that will make you feel like you are "jamming" everything back in.Which was expected if you read all the other reviews. Majority of them complain about this. After few attempts of wiggling it back in and clipping the cable to the one thats in the box already, it helped some.

Worth Every Penny!
At $20, this add-on seems expensive at first but, worth it! To Equip your Asrock Deskmini with (2) extra USB 2.0 ports. Bringing the total USB port count to 5+1 USB-C. Sure beats buying an external hub. Only mild gripe is it makes assembling the Deskmini a bit of a tight squeeze, and usually ends up with one of the wires in front of the cooling fan. You just need to play with it a bit to get everything in there nice & neat, and without any visible wires touching your CPU fan.

Nice to have two extra ports
Works as expected, the only know is the cable length in that it is actually too long. You have to be careful to bunch the cable at the front of the case in an elevated way so that it does not interfere with the motherboard sliding back into place. Once that's all worked out though, not an issue and good cable management practice.

cable is quite difficult to route
pushing the motherboard back into the deskmini can either cause the cable to stop the motherboard going back in at all, or causes the cable to interfere with the cpu fan.even after 30mins wrangling with the cable and getting the motherboard back in, the cable is still dangerously close to clipping the fan blades.the clips where you can route the cable on the deskmini are not really fit for purpose. the metal clip at the back is flush with the surface on my unit so its impossible to put the cable in there. the plastic white clip on the side is flimsy and barely holds the thick black wires in place.not a good design for something which is sort of essential on a machine with so few usb ports to begin with.

Works Exactly as Expected
The case hole for this socket is covered by a metal flap which you will need to fatigue-bend until it breaks off, leaving the hole as needed with a rough edge which might need a little cleaning up. The item then just screws into position using the holes and screws provided. The short-ish cable then terminates on a header which plugs into the motherboard. This item is just about essential for the desk mini PC which I have set up as a dual-boot Windows/Linux box for general purpose lab work. I use the two USB2 ports for mouse and keyboard.

My mini computer is now comolete
Works like a charm

Works as intended with DeskMini X300
It's a pain to install because the cable gets in the way of the motherboard sliding mechanism, but everything works in the end.

Teuer, grauenhaft einzubauen
