Pink Moon (A Hex Support Mystery Book 1)

I enjoyed this book as a quick read. I also love a murder mystery but I felt it fell a little flat. I was expecting perhaps for the romance to maybe have more of a juicer conclusion as it felt alluded to. So I guess I was a little disappointed. Overall though a very charming and pleasant read with well drafted characters.

This book was well written and included many interesting historical and geographical facts. I thought more magic would be involved but it was mostly interviews and mundane investigation. The romance angle was spot on.

Each book covers the actions of these 3 clever witches. A wonderful read and a definite bookshelf keeper!

Whole new cast of characters.. I would rather defer judgement until I have read another one.. I am not keen on Palmer though.. and Kit's family need more back story rather too much is left to supposition..

Got to say it makes a change to read one of these fantasy books with out the male and female main characters wanting to rip the clothes of each other in every other paragraph.Even though I do enjoy reading them also.

What a great way to start a series. Really enjoyed this book and I am going to read the second one now.

3.5 stars. The book was well written and the mystery was good, but the romance was forced and fell flat. I really did not like Palmer and have no idea why anyone over 40 wouldn't think he was a childish fool wrapped in a few red flags. The family dynamic was hinted at, but I suppose that is what the following books are for. Might read the next one, might not.

This was a great story - entertaining, funny, hint of romance, great characters and plot. It had me hooked from the start and I couldn't put it down. Kept me guessing right to the end and I hadn't worked out whodunnit! Annabel is a talented author and I look forward to more in this series.
