Good features but could be better.Upshot - overall I like it but deducted 3 stars due to some technical flaws and missing equipment they do not include in the package. I'm still debating if I should keep this due to the flaws but more than anything I'm a bit concerned about the support and more importantly for me the Hero5 charge adapter they don't include.Pros:-The gimbal itself works very well and is stable. I can jar it around and it is pretty steady.-The App is pretty slick and it enables you to control the Gimbal as well as change some granular settings like gimbal reaction speed, control movement speed, gimbal silent mode (check my comment in Cons section, remote control using phone/app, etc.-Really like that you can mount it to a traditional GoPro mountCons:-Gimbal noise: in normal mode it's pretty noisy and in silent mode it is bearable. I don't think I can use it to record audio unless I'm in a noisy environment and folks are talking loudly.-Gimbal to battery handle connection: this enables you to remove the gimbal assembly from the handle - due to this design if I shake side to side I can hear the noise of the gimbal assembly moving side to side ever so slightly. noise is the annoyance - no concerns with it falling off though.-GoPro Hero 5 Battery charger adapter!!! - WHY NOT INCLUDE IT IN THE KIT?!?!?!? I originally thought the kit was missing this part as it doesn't say anything about it and is in the instruction manual but doesn't state it is a separate part. This annoys me more than anything. I pay $300 for this thing and they can't include a GoPro Hero5 charging adapter? Now I have to chase down a manufacturer that is difficult to get a hold of because they are in China to find this small piece. What a hassle and so cheap not to include a full package!!!!-Support!!!! I tried to submit a question about the GoPro Hero5 charge adapter and I can't even submit due to a problem with their website. Looks like there will be support issues in the future if something goes wrong.UPDATE 6/29/17: I reached out to their local contact here in the US and I was very pleased that they responded back the very next day. Matt from Freevision located locally in CA was able provide some context that they apparently had some technical issues with the website and it is now resolved. He's also assisting me in resolving the adapter issue - raising a star for great customer service.

Take your time to understand how it works. Once you figure it out you will realize how great this gimbal is.I love it.I chose this gimbal because of the price and its ability to adapt to Gopro mounts. I did a lot of research. This dork has been looking at gimbals for about 2 years now and finally pulled the trigger.There was not much in terms of reviews/YouTube videos (compared to other competing gimbals) but what I found was enough to convince me. My only worry is the plastic Gopro tabs will snap off over time making it un-wearable.12/7/17 updateThe GoPro tabs (this is what I am calling them) are metal!The wearable base also has 2 1/4 20 tripod screw mounts giving you even more mounting options.Anyway I charged the handle and gimbal separately until they were fully charged (according to the directions) and then gave it a test. The Vilta was amazing, it took everything I threw at it

This experience was incredibly disappointing! This gimbal is such a beautiful design with a host of different functions but unfortunately its features do not work consistently. The gimbal initially paired with my GoPro Hero 5 and Hero 6 so I could do some rudimentary camera controls from the gimbal but after leaving the gimbal and the cameras overnight, they would no longer pair. And don't get me started on the app! After many tries, I was finally able to get one of my cameras connected via the app and it was a beautiful thing because I could control all aspects of the camera and gimbal remotely. I wanted to put the camera and the gimbal on a tripod and pan and tilt remotely while controlling the camera. This feature worked twice in 15 tries. I am a professional and need to be able to count on my equipment 100%. I could not count on this product to work 5% of the time. After hours and hours of frustration and countless missed shots, the Vilta is in the box being returned to Amazon.This product receives my very strong "do not buy" review.

Was a Little difficult to setup and worked alright but feel the GoPro handle is a better option for the price.

When the gimbal stopped working I inquired about service (after only 8 months of light use) and I described the problem. I asked support where I could get service. I purchased this gimbal to pair with my GoPro 5 Black back in February. Since then I have put it through the ringer...beach, mountains, streets of LA, etc. and it has passed all of the tests. It’s WAY smaller than other gimbals on the market, durable with a metal feel (not plastic!) and doesn’t have a bunch of fluff buttons, so it’s extremely easy to use. Best of all, the smoothness of the videos is incredible. It truly is professional grade. 5 stars.

Great performance and packaging. It took some time for me to understand the functionality. No jump start videos in YouTube too.

Really great device! Made some of my GoPro videos up on the Superior Hiking Trail in northern Minnesota rock-solid stable! As a news photographer, I keep it with me and have found it comes in handy when I want to add my Go Pro into the mix.

So far I've only used this item for about a week but so far I'm very happy with my purchase. Initial thoughts were that it was a little larger and heavier than other models on the market but I hope this is down to build quality. I really like the contoured case that is supplied with this item. The battery charged quickly, installing my GoPro Hero 4 was easy (using the supplied sleeve) and there were no issues with calibration. Overall I'm very happy, but I'm not sure the extra weight and other clunky features are justified when paying quite so much for this item.

This hand held Gimbel is great but is not totally compatible with all features for the GoPro Hero 3 Black. Otherwise it is easy to use and very smooth!

Lo utilizzo con gopro4, il prodotto è secondo me affidabile, robusto e si “sente” il valore in mano; oltre al fatto che lo si può utilizzare su un attacco Gopro...a dir poco geniale. Stabilità d’immagine pressoché perfetta, bisogna farci un po’ la mano!!!Il prezzo potrebbe sembrare elevato ma vi assicuro che spendere 100 - 150 euro per un prodotto mediocre non ne vale la pena per il semplice fatto che poi vorrete comprare questo...Ho provato solo le impostazioni predefinite senza settare la funzione più reattiva importabile via app.
