2 people tried it in the household with differing results:-Person with 20/20 vision:Definitely helps with eye fatigue and dryness, but other that that no improvements with visual quality aside from slight magnification during initial use where your eyes quickly adjust to it and you never notice it thereafter-Person w/o 20/20 vision:There is some eye-strain for the first day of prolong use as your eyes tries to adjust to the slight magnification and yellow tint. After the initial hurdle it does help with eye dryness, and helps a bit in dealing with eye fatigue but not as drastic as the person with 20/20Do see some visual improvements while gaming, especially in darker video game locations/levels and some items or small environmental items do stick out. Dark brownish green items do stick out more as with small flashes of hidden collectible items-Both:Not for outdoor use. Not advertised as such, but just noting it seeing it does look like sunglasses. It enhances the glare from the sun while driving or jogging so it can be dangerous if you're not careful. I think Gunnar do sell outdoor brands as wellDoes work well with headsets as the product is very light and you don't really feel it is there during extensive useWith the nose piece where it, is lenses appear very close to your face. Saying that, if you have a tendency to itch within the lens area, you have to take the glasses half way or all the way off to do so without risk of smudging the lens with fingerprints or breaking the glasses as the material appears rather delicateEven though it's not all you ask for it's very stylized and may be worth the high price tag if you decided to wear it frequentlyUpdate: Having worn it non-stop for 2 weeks (aside from sleeping), when taken off there is no eye fatigue with extensive exposure to monitor or TV screens. Seems like the Gunnar glasses act like eye braces as it conditions your eye muscles to not go full blast when a heavy light source is present

Good Product
Build quality is excellent. The lens and frame are not the cheapo china stuff, (its the good china stuff...hehe) you can tell that time was taken to ensure a precise fit between components. The machining and finishing is also excellent stuff. I will even go so far as to say that it is on par with the build quality in brand name $200-$300 sunglasses..... yeah, its that good. Now the real question is that does it work?My answer is yes.I have worn these glasses for a about 2 months now and held off on reviewing, b/c i wanted to get an accurate feel for any 'change in fatigue'. I work in an office with the typical florescent lighting staring at a large monitor for about 8-10 hours a day.(as far as eye relief is concerned, let me tell you that upgrading my monitor to a 32" has been better for my eyes than any other upgrade, but anyways, back to the review). So I would get to work in the morning and put these glasses on and when I left for the day, i would take them off and leave them on my desk .One day I forgot them on my face and reached home before I realized they were on my face. So i took them off at home and forgot to bring them back to work the following morning. That day i realized what these glasses did for me. I ended walking around all day, took a 3 hour lunch, had meetings and anything else i could think of to avoid looking at my monitors...yep, without these glasses it was that bad. The color shifts to an light amber and knocks out the harsh blue so my eyes dont feel as tired at the end of the day....still tired, but not as much.I ding these glasses one star b/c they have a very slight power to them. The lens are supposed to be neutral, but they are not. There is a very very slight shift in the image, that you wouldnt even notice if you weren't even looking, so expect a shift of maybe 0.1 or 0.2 (?) in your eyesight, if you have prescription contacts/glasses.

Great Googly Gunnar
These are great if you're staring at digital screens a lot. I own two pair of Gunnar, the Wi-Five and SteelSeries Scope. My wife started reading on her MacBook Air a lot more instead of her Kindle and started having more eye strain and dryness issues. I told her to try my Gunnar glasses to see if they helped her. Realizing my Gunnar glasses had been permanently confiscated, I encouraged her to spend more time on the Kindle. Soon, the search was on for a second pair. I tried the Phenom, before getting the Scope, but found the fit on those much less comfortable despite similar weight, style, and dimensions to the Wi-Five pair. Find a pair that fits, and your eyes will thank you!Pros: Comfortable, crisp vision, eases eye strain and dryness: They really make it easier to enjoy your screen(s). The Gunnar glasses enable me to dial up the display brightness up with the Gunnar glasses and see much clearer and comfortably. The little microclimate pitch sounded hokey to me, but it really seems to work. I have issues with extreme dry eye after laser surgery to correct vision. And, these really seem to help with the dryness.Cons: Keep your lens cleaner and cleaning cloth handy! Apparently, they didn't carry over the anti-smudge technology from Oakley. My Oakley sunglasses do not smudge near as easily or as often.Something that struck me about the SteelSeries Scope is how much thinner the frames were than the other Gunnar's that I purchased. I read some reviews on these seeming flimsy. However, I torqued them firmly while adjusting them to fit my face and the thin steel seems to be high quality. They do have a springy give to them, but gently hug the contours of my head. And, they maintain the position I set while fitting. So, they hold shape and adjustments quite well. If you prefer a more rigid frame, I'd go with something else like the Gunnar Wi-Five. Hope this helps!

Could make using a computer over long houres easier for you
These glasses will not be for everyone but to some people they will help over long sessions. They make everything slightly more yellow for the first 5 minuets but after that your eyes will just so you see normally. The yellow tint is to reduce the eye stain from the brightness of your monitor whilst still allowing you to see differences in light levels during times when the monitor is displaying darker colours. They have a slight magnification so you can see what is on the screen a bit better. I find that my eyes get less tired during long gaming sessions when I wear them. They are light weight and comfortable to war whilst wearing large headphones. I would recommend finding a cheaper pair if you are unsure or maybe finding a friend who has some and giving them a go first as it is a large amount of money for something that some people may not like / need / want.

Gunnar Optiks Scope -
It has dioptric power of 0.2 - which is not usually mentioned and bad if you have perfect vision.Really thin but strong to touch steel is used for the frame. Assembly and material is super fine quality. The glass can be dirty really easy and constant cleaning is needed.I believe it can be used just for working on a close monitor with not too much head movement. It filters blue light well. I feel my eyes are not that tired after using it.You need some break from it though.

Great Lenses, Bad Body
These seem to have been designed to be used exclusively with headphones, as the thin, flexible arms don't grip your head at all, and keep moving or falling off without my headphones on. Having said that, I've never come across glasses so comfortable to wear with headphones. The nose pad arms are incredibly difficult to adjust, and come set fairly close together. They keep springing back to their original shape, and I've had to bend the glasses an uncomfortable amount to do even that. The plastic arm covers are grease magnets, to the extent that if you haven't washed your hair yet that day, you're going to get grease on them. It's ridiculous. The lenses are absolutely fantastic though, and if you suffer from eye strain at all, these work wonders. It more than makes up for all the negatives in my case, but if you just want style I'd go with something else.

Good quality ... if not pricey
I have barely used them - however they did seem useful, though they do take some time to get used to given the slight prescription adpect of the glass. Dont go running around the first time you are wearing them unless you like (1) being dizzy and/or (2) banging into walls.

Using is believing
Don't understand how they can work but they do, a year of sore eyes and headaches disappeared in weeks.Lenses are very slightly magnified with a yellow tint after a moment you do not even notice.Describing the fit no pinching, noting rubs the glasses are super light, I keep forgetting I have them on.Only one small dislike, the frame has a fake carbon finish the paint started to peeled off the first week.Thank you Gunnar Optiks
