Helly Hansen Women's Seven J Waterproof, Windproof, and Breathable Rain Jacket with Hood

This rain jacket was awesome and stylish. It's a heavier jacket though. It would be packable still. I had to return it because I was looking for a lightweight rain jacket for a trip to the rainforest.

This jacket is great for the Amazon price, especially since I was able to get 2-day shipping.Many reviews indicate that the jacket runs small, and many recommended to order up a size. I'm normally a small (size 4 dress size) with broad shoulders (5'2, 135 pounds). Since I needed this jacket for dragonboating, I ordered a medium instead of a small to make sure that the smaller fit of the jacket didn't limit my mobility. When I tried on the jacket, body was much too large. I was swimming in the jacket and easily could have fit a thick sweatshirt underneath. The sleeves were also roomy and pretty long (to be fair, I am petite). I will be exchanging the jacket for a small.

This is a great quality jacket, with a similar material to the high-end Marmot jackets but much less expensive. I'm happy with this purchase.

I have been trying jackets in preparation for a trip to Europe this coming fall. I had never heard of the Helly-Hansen brand and after reading about them I was excited to try them. Upon receipt I could tell that it is a high-quality jacket. Unfortunately for me it is a lot heavier than I want to drag around for two weeks. It also is not a flattering jacket on me. I have a small waist but larger hips and the length of this jacket made it snug on my hips and it would bunch up when I sat. A two-way zipper would have done a lot to solve the fit issue for me, and I may have even kept it, or the other HH that I tried, for use at home, but I decided to return and continue the search.

I wore it playing golf while raining and its lightweight enough that it doesn't affect my swing. Waterproof to keep dry.

I purchased the jacket , in hope to stay warm and dry during the January weather. I decided to go with a MEDIUM because everyones reviews said the size they original are and purchased was too small. Unfortunately, the medium is a little too big. Lets just say it is big enough for me to wear a nice size wool sweater. I like the fact that I can adjust the cuffs on the wrist.
