Grandson got this for his first birthday. He is still very interested in it 3 months later. He is a busy/active explorer so this gives him an outlet to explore and improve fine motor skills. He especially likes the velcro shapes and plays with every part of it. We removed the tiny key because it didn't seem safe for his age. It could be easily attached to the wall at eye level for a neat play station.

I feel like this toy is actually geared towards a child who is older only for a few reasons. I get that it's made of wood, But some of the pieces seem kind of flimsy like the gears. Also I feel like there should be something behind the tiny trapdoor. And I feel like something should keep the lace on the shoe It should be allowed to be untied but at the same time I feel like the lace should be kept on the shoe. I also don't like that the one lock has insanely tiny keys. That's what makes me feel like it should be for an older kid not a small toddler. Definitely don't leave your baby or toddler alone with this toy/board. Also not really a big deal but my latch was actually installed upside down I feel like it should have been put on the other way with the way that the board is shaped. The red button is also a little hard for small hands to push. But all in all it is a decently well put together busy board. It does have smaller parts so watch your little ones. I seriously wouldn't leave them alone with it I can't stress that enough. But still it is a good buy.

My FATHER & patient LOVE IT!!Just lay the busyboard out and they will migrate to it automatically. And then eventually you’ll see that is just like a cell phone in a child’s hands.

The board is nice aesthetically and seems well constructed, however, there are some very sharp parts that could seriously injure a baby or toddler (or adult) if they fell or stepped on this. The set also comes with 2 sets of keys, which we immediately removed and stored away because they could definitely be a choking hazard. The puzzle pegs don't come with magnets so they easily end up all over the place when the board is flipped and dragged around and I anticipate them being lost forever sooner than later. This board has entertained my 7 month old but always with very close supervision.
