Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme Men's Fragrance Collection, Shave Soap in Tin, 150 G

Great smell, creamy lather, seems long lasting. The number of ounces per container on many of these shave soaps being offered today has been rapidly diminishing from 8 oz all the way down to now 4 oz. Anything over 4 oz is unique in this marketplace. Load up on them now because I'm pretty sure at some point it will be down to three or four ounces for the same price.

Nice hard soap. Smells clean but not overpowering. Lathers well-leaves my face feeling good.

Excellent soap that lathers well. The soap has good ‘slickness’ and provides some skin conditioning. Too bad there is no matching aftershave as the scent is a bit difficult to match. (There is a balm but I do not like aftershave balms)

Good lather, very good lubrication, light & pleasant scent. The wife likes. This and the #63 are my go to shave soaps. I've got a few creams, tried TOBS (gets consumed way too fast), and these are simply the ones I return to over and over.The bergamot and thyme is a light scent than the #63, and for general public probably more pleasant. For a more masculine scent, the #63 knocks is the ticket.Top tip: adjust the amount of water in your brush to get best performance. This soap likes water. If you see little flecks of soap flaking off when lathering, add water.

I wasn’t sure how I would enjoy this scent. But the reviews were very positive. They were right! Scent is not overpowering, by very pleasant. A unique scent.The soap is hard. It only takes a few passes with the brush to get enough for a shave. Lathers very well. This will last for a long time. (Picture is after prob a dozen shaves. You can hardly tell it’s used.)I like that it comes in an aluminum case instead of plastic.

wHEN TI have used this shea butter shave soap for over three years. What I am about to write is for studly men only. If you are some weak knee shaving enthusiast who likes to warm up his lather, hold mommy's hand, then this review isn't for you.First I use both synthetic and bristle brushes. Since Pre jacked up the prices, now I will drive them down. I shave every day. So I rotate my brushes to let them dry thoroughly. My blade of choice is Dorco PaCE 6 BLADES! When they wear down in about 2 months!!! I sharpen them with Razor Saver and running water. I get about another week's usage that way. Before shaving I dip the brush in warm water for a few minutes. Then I shake the brush but leave about half a teaspoon of water in my frothing cup. The cup is a plastic container lid from a cat food product. It was a screw on lid so it has ridges running along the sides and a large rim in the bottom. This allows for quick lathering and is unbreakable. I take the brush after shaking it and twirl it in the orginal Pre tin like a can can dancer. This lifts enough soap to forth. If it is not enough, repeat. Not frothing, add a little bit of water. I then aplly to face and neck. No nicks yet even with a six blade. My Pre pucks last more than 1 year with this no waste technique. Saves $.One drawback to Shea Butter shave soap: It will gum up the sink after a month or so. I keep my old toothbrushes and open up the sinkhole, swirl the toothbrush around ans sink drains like new!

This smells really nice. I purchased it for my dad, who has not found an aftershave balm that he likes since the original Polo green was discontinued. This doesn't smell exactly the same, but it is similar enough that he loves it. We will be ordering more.
