Q: Will a box of tissues fit in one of the compartments?

A square box of tissue should fit just fine. I haven’t tried it personally but I buy the large rolls of Charmin TP and they fit. The rectangular flat boxes of tissue wouldn’t .

Q: What are the dimensions for the inside of one of the compartments? I'm trying to figure out if an item will fit inside one of the compartments.

I believe it is about 5 and a half inches by 6 inches for the two outside compartments. The center one is a little smaller at about 5 by 6

Wrapped in plastic bag then put in a cardboard box. It was packaged very well and I ordered 2 of them over time.
