Fashion catastrophe
I ordered green but received silver. Fortunately I am a fashion catastrophe on the slopes. None of my gear ever matched but I just got a new coat last year that was similar in color to my skis. That was not done on purpose; I just noticed when I was out skiing. Then I ordered these poles and was thinking, OMG, I am going to look like I am trying to actually match! Fortunately, they sent silver instead of the green I ordered and I was so relieved. That would be horrible to actually be color coordinated on the slopes! My ski buddies would disown me.By the way, I skied with the poles yesterday and they were great. It was a powder day and they come with powder baskets so that was fine but we don't have many powder days here and I would rather have smaller baskets but it is not possible to order those on Amazon.com. I had to buy them direct from Zipline.

Nice looking lightweight poles. Minor issue getting the baskets on.
The media could not be loaded. I haven't used these yet, so will update later if I run into any problems that I see in other reviews like chipping paint. But, the poles look nice and are lightweight which is the reason why I returned a previous pair and got these instead. I'm a casual intermediate skier getting in maybe 4 days a year, but recently bought my own equipment to avoid the hassle of rental equipment. My only complaint is that the baskets were a small pain to get on. Couldn't get the thread to catch just trying to push hard with the pole standing on its handle, but contacted Zipline support via their chat app on their website and the support agent was patient and sent me the attached video. It basically showed a person just screwing the basket on while pushing on it, but I guess somehow turning the pole while holding the handle (not having it standing on the handle and just turning the basket against a stationary pole) worked better and I got the baskets on. The baskets didn't make a "pop" sound once they were fully on as it seems to do in the video, but they are on and free spinning once they are all the way on.

Great Ski Poles but straps are a little short for me
I love these poles.. very light and durable.. the only issue I have with them is that the pole straps are a little small.. with my gloves it is hard to fit my hand through the straps even at their largest setting. But, they work great.

Great Product and Customer Service that Matches the Product!
I bought these for my son for Xmas. I don't know much about the sport or the gear yet, but I am learning fast. I loved the variety of colors offered adn seemed to be a good fit for my son. My son loves them! They are light weight, and easy to spot should he take spill :) .My son is fairly new to this sport and this is his first new pair of poles. We were initially disappointed that after the 3rd time using the poles the basket came off at some point on a hill. I emailed the company and they were very quick to reply. With no hassle at all from them, they problem solved the issue in one email and have a new part coming over night to us. They also educated me a bit on proper install of the baskets so this hopefully won't happen again. As my son is new to this sport it is very possible/probable that the issue was on our end and he did not properly install the basket. It was not a major issue and we are extremely happy with the outcome and resolution. With another son coming up in the ranks, the quality of the product and outstanding customer service, I will definitely be back to shop here again.

What's "most important" thing about alpine ski poles?
Great looking poles, nice grips, screw-on baskets, secure wrist straps, and nice swing weight. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience first time (only so far) out with these poles, just recently. An expert skier, apparently I 'found' a hole in the icy, compacted base of a groomed trail into which the pole 'sunk' to the basket. Traveling fairly fast I was soon ahead of the pole, which by this time had pulled my left arm back to the point where it 'rotated' me somewhat. The pole would not come out of the hole so soon there was a lot of tension on my arm until the pole snapped off, just above the basket. First time anything like this has EVER happened to me, a very strange occurrence. Poles have already been replaced, very quickly and easy for me, so kudos to Amazon and the supplier. I will be trying them again Monday, March 16th and am confident I will find them to be just fine.
