Great book for travel to Madrid
This is a DK book so it has a lot of good factual information and great photos. I took it with me on a recent trip to Madrid and used it as an excellent resource regarding planning our days and what we wanted to see. The book is excellent...I just wish it was a bit smaller and lighter so it would fit into a pocket. I used it to plan the day and what we wanted to explore and then I used the map from the hotel to circle the locations. It worked well for us.....Madrid was a great city with a lot of interesting places to explore.

Great guide for short trips
I found the Top 10 guides by accident but I'm thrilled that I did. I find them especially useful for short trips, as the format really boils down all the attractions and experiences into manageable lists. The maps are great, the descriptions are thorough, and the recommendations are spot-on. I used the Madrid guide to plan a one-day stay with my wife and kids and We really felt like we got a good feel for the city; everything we did was fun and we used a couple of the off-the-beaten-path suggestions, too. I have also used the Top 10 guide to Berlin and found it equally useful.

I dont travel without Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guide
This book gives a great summary of the highlights of any city! The mini-map is great but hopefully they will include a purchase code for an app for your phone as I find that I am using my SmartPhone more and these less (allowing me to blend in with the natives).

Great compact guide
Excellent compact guide with detailed map that fits easily into purse or tote bag. We usually purchase one for each city we visit. Shows and describes all the major, and some minor, tourist spots. Not so good on restaurants and hotels - I prefer TripAdvisor descriptions and rating. Information, especially on restaurants, can be outdated by the time the book is published.

Best Guide Around
I have to say this book is GREAT!! I didn't feel like a tourist with the help of this book. I found wonderful hidden gems to see around the city. Try to read through the book as much as you can the information provided is plentiful. You wont be disappointed if you get this book.

Madrid's Top Ten
I haven't been to Madrid in more than ten years. I wanted a simple guide to make the most of the days I will spend there in April. This guide does exactly what I wanted! As for the metro map, I'll get one when I am there.

Four Stars
Good "quick hit" travel book for Madrid. I'd still get a Fodor's because much more thorough and complete coverage.

Good, but with limitations
I didn't pay close attention to the description of this product before I purchased it. It truly is simply a listing of the Top 10 attractions, restaurants, etc. There is good information in it, but I was a little disappointed. Had I browsed this book in a "real" book store before I'd purchased it, I would probably NOT have chosen to buy it.

A Must for Madrid
Took this excellent little book on our 3 day break and what an absolute gem it turned out to be. Would have been lost without its superbly detailed maps at front and back also saved us from needing to buy tourist guides at the museums etc. An absolute must.

This is a useful guide with a familiar layout
This is a useful guide with a familiar layout. However, I bought the book 'as new' and was surprised to discover that it was in fact 'used'. Certain areas on the maps had been circled in biro!

Take this one along
This series is compact and complete. Let's us pre-plan for our time allotted and it is all so easy to take around. Other guides give more historical and expanded info, but for taking with you, this is the one.
