D.R. HarrisSandalwood Aftershave

I'm looking for a TRUE sandalwood scent for men. I believe the true aroma of sandalwood is uniquely alluring and pleasant. -- Years ago, I was using Arden's Sandalwood aftershave and cologne, which were robust and lasting. I constantly received notices and compliments when I used them. Unfortunately, they were discontinued and replaced with a much milder version which is hardly noticeable of sandalwood. I've purchased vintage bottles of the Arden's, but they're extremely rare, and of course, exorbitantly expensive. Also, because of age, the sandalwood scent has greatly dissipated. -- During the past years, I've tried numerous so-called sandalwood scented colognes and aftershave lotions, and I've been continually disappointed. -- I was allured to this "D. R. Harris" sandalwood aftershave, both because of it's name, which is nearly identical to my name, Dr. Anthony Harris, and because of the many favorable reviews it has received. But sadly it lacks a true sandalwood aroma. It does have a fresh scent, but it's extremely mild. I've been using it regularly for over a month, and I haven't received a single compliment, not even from my wife. -- Realizing that different fragrances are for different types of people and personalities, sandalwood is definitely the right scent for my character and personality. I'm still searching, and I hope that I'll eventually find a true sandalwood scented aftershave/cologne. If any of you have any suggestions, please let me know at [email protected]. Thank you.

Scent is a personal thing, so YMMV. But to me, this is the all time favorite smell of any aftershave I have ever tried. Although it is not a pure sandalwood scent, it does contain real sandalwood oil. Having used both this version and the DR Harris Sandalwood aftershave milk, I can say there is a slight difference in scent between the two. I believe the milk version is a bit more herbal and this one is a bit more floral. Either way, it smells good. The milk version has a little less burn than this one, but they both make your skin feel good after shaving

I very much like this product. It has a nice sandalwood scent that lasts a long time. I use pure sandalwood oil as cologne, so this is a complement to that scent. D.R. Harris is a bit pricey, but worth every cent. The top of the bottle is designed to sprinkle a little at a time so there is no waste. A few drops is enough to do the job. The square design bottle is nice too. I'm tired of all the creams and gels on the market today that are packed in plastic containers just to save a few pennies in production costs and cleverly lead you to waste product, then don't even give you a lasting scent. I've gotten several compliments while wearing it and yet it is subtle.Be careful with the glass bottle. Dropping it in the sink will result in total loss. I've learned to use it over the counter and not over the sink.

love this brand and scent.i got a few years with my last bottle which i thought was discontinued until i found this one.the label is different, and the scent is a little lighter. not sure if my aged bottle has become mature or more concentrated over time, but there is a difference. as others have mentioned the scent is way better than the other sandalwoods, it's spot on. the ladies like it, and guys inquire as to what it is. i'm forever a fan, and upset that its scarce to find.

What more can I say but I'll try. This is one the best aftershave splashes on the market. It does have a stronge aroma but it's pleasant and lasting. It moisturises the skin and has a "true natural" sandllewood sent. Unfortunately a lot of folks don't know what a true sandalwood smells like and can't tell a synthetic from the real deal. "This is the real deal". Has a good burn at first but soothes razor burn. Simply amazing product. If you like a "true sandllewood", this is a no brainier.

Out of all of the colognes, aftershaves and perfumes created for men, the one truly distinctive aroma that never overpowers yet never fails to garner a compliment is sandalwood. I found the D.R. Harris brand to be the most consistent in terms of maintaining their formula that delivers an extremely complex bouquet of scents that serve to enhance the subtleties of sandalwood. It's a super scent and one that truly sets the wearer apart from the ordinary.

I am not really much of an aftershave type of person. In other words, I don't wear it everyday (but I don't shave everyday). If I were to wear an aftershave everyday, this would be it. The scent is subtle and classic manly. Another great thing is that the top is a shaker type that only puts out a little with each shake. That reduces the waste. There is the classic aftershave sting but not too bad. It is worth every penny and it will last you a long time.

I love the scent of this aftershave.My only (minor) complaint is that it burns when applying because it is alcohol based. I typically don't use aftershaves with alcohol, but I loved the scent of this one too much to rule it out.
