Invader ZIM Vol. 1: Deluxe Edition (1)

The book was awesome and packaged well, and boy is the book giant! It's a lot more vertical than what I'm used to a book being. It's not too thick though, it's a comfortable reading weight in the hands - it doesn't feel like a textbook, but it feels well put together. I could read this in my lap perfectly fine.Honestly, the only problem I had with the comics was that one was boring and had such a stylistic difference for the Invader Zim style it didn't feel like it felt. It was made by another Comic Artist, but it just didn't feel like it sat in the book well and was a lot more different than every other one. It was the one poking fun at Trump, which I think is fine and all, but the stylistic change is super drastic and the weakest installment. However, I didn't take a star off because the writing isn't for my demographic exactly (a young adult), and the art was good, it was great - just different. It broke the mood Zim's usual style brings in, but there are so many other installments and nice tidbits of extra content I didn't expect.Plus the cover art is super pretty and amazing colors, and looks like a poster more than a book cover. Really awesome design like a cereal box. A+!

Been an Invader Zim fan since middle school/for over 10 years. Since hearing about its resurrection through comics and a movie, and as someone who likes collecting omnibus volumes, I just had to get my hands on the deluxe first volume, and it doesn't disappoint. The show's dark humor, absurdity, art style, and storytelling are faithfully translated into comic book form. I plan on completing my collection. It's a must-have for Invader Zim fans!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my sister, and now I wanna buy another for myself. The humor is as great as ever. The kind of wacky, surrealist stuff that only Jhonen Vasquez can deliver. Definitely worth the extra cash to get the extra material too. I look forward to more.

It was a cold, dark, dreary world, until the dystopian grandeur of ZIM returned to our lives! For years I sat living off of the reruns of Invader Zim, my DVD player spinning the glorious disks of Zim goodness over and over again.And then one magnanimous day, while looking for new releases in the comic book shop, I saw it.....the poster announcing the glorious return of my favorite alien invader.The comics did not disappoint, reveling in the stories that are every bit as awesome as the TV show. Finally, more canon to the mighty Zim legacy.And then my life became even more awesome! I got THIS BOOK.... The hardcover book of Zim goodness. The first 10 issues of Invader Zim, plus a bonus issue of a comic that is most certainly almost, but not quite Zim!Best of all, this book is huge so the mighty Zim is even bigger and more in your face! Plus, no annoying advertisement pages that the comics have. Nothing but solid, pure, adulterated Zim!If you love Zim, and you do, or else you would not be reading this, so then, to quote Gir, "You NEED it!"Bwahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahah.......Excuse me, I need to go stare into my toilet now.

The book is amazing I'm reading it right now and I was really excited to come home from school and read this! It's really fun to read, so many stories and the colors are so vibrant!! The art style is really pretty and neat! Invader zim is really underrated and needs more love like this book!!!

My main concern when ordering hardcover books are always the dents to be expected at the corners but i was pleasantly surprised to find this large comic to be tightly wrapped in a thin layer of plastic wrap in which effectively stopped any damage to the product. While it did end up getting delayed the quality was worth the price and is enormous!

This book is just gorgeous! Very well made, solid and satisfyingly heavy. The colours are so so vibrant. Cant get over how clear and “high def” every page is. Its almost like watching invader zim on bluray but in a book! After seeing this and then rewatching a couple episodes from the cartoon, there is such a huge difference. Im sure the soft cover volumes are just as vibrant, but if you love invader zim as much as I do, I definitely recommend splurging for the hard cover deluxe edition. Even though the third book probably wont be out until next year (based on my calculation of previous issues seen on wikipedia), I will totally wait for the third book which will cover up until issue #30.

I love INVADER ZIM series, the comics and the movie too! Of course!I totally loved this edition
