i bought the stuff for sth completely different than intended. basically sound dampened my bug with it (floor, doors, side panels etc.). it does that perfectly for a fraction of the price all the "pro" panels do. highly recommended!!! as for the intended use - seal your roof - i can't say anything, sorry.update Feb 2022. - got a bunch more of it and added it everywhere i didn't use it before on the car. It's the best 'bang for the buck' solution. that 1969 VW Bug is inside as quiet as a Mercedes S-class and after applying it literally anywhere, the only thing that's rattling when the 1200W dual 12" subwoofers kick in are the windows...well, and my teeth. might be invented for quick roof patching, it's a great solution for sound damping your car as well, for a fraction of the cost of 'pro'-solutions like dynamat etc. Safe that money and spend it on better amps and speakers etc.!

I used this a dampening, sound deadening material on my VW. It is thinner the the Dy brand. It is not as gooey on the back either. So you have a little more work to do to make sure you have it bonded in place. It is not stinky. Main factor for me was simply price. Ya it isn't "as good" as brand X but it does the job really well with just a little more work, I bought 16 3/4 sq. ft. for under $32. I was okay with a little more work and the before and after results are still dramatic.I did work it a bit with my heat gun after the initial placement. That helped the bonding a lot.

this stuff is amazing...l found using the blow dryer to heat it after applying,and a hand held roller to help get it set up sooner,but the sun will do it.

I’ve used this type of product and even this brand a lot. This one didn’t adhere. Could be that it was old or weathered when I received it. But it didn’t work.

Quick fix in any leaks. Remember MUST to clean and dry the surface before paste it on. Highly recommend to DIYer

Worked as expected. Patched many holes in metal roofing with it.

Works great, permanent. Used for sealing roof jacks.

Used this in my 67 VW Bug. Really quieted my ride and was super easy to install. I'll be picking up some more to insulate my doors and floor.
