TurboSke Ski Helmet, Snowboard Helmet Snow Sports Helmet, Audio Compatible and Lightweight, ASTM Certified Helmet for Men, Women and Youth

This is a great helmet at a great price. My 10yo daughter is learning how to ski this season and getting her geared up can get crazy expensive even buying some stuff used. I did not want to get a used helmet so after looking thru the online offerings and what amazon has I decided to try this one. This helmet is really nice - it is Warm & comfortable. Well made, nice padding, removable insulation liner and a padded chin strap that is easy to adjust & get on/off. There is a adjustment toggle on the back of the helmet to tighten up the entire inner bracing to get the snug safe fit you want. The liner has fleece around the crown and ears for warmth and vents at the top to keep her from overheating. The goggle strap is easy to use and holds secure. There is a little lip on the brim that holds her goggles secure when she is not using them. We ski on So Cal mountains (Big Bear & Mammoth) where the conditions are never really that cold - she has never complained about her head being cold. The vents on top are open, you cannot close them - this may be an issue for those who ski on bigger, colder mountains or in heavy weather - which we do not. I love the bright turquoise color - makes it really easy to spot her on the slopes and it matches her hydro-backpack so she is styling on the slopes.

Didn't take any hits to the head on the recept trip luckily, but this helmet feels like it can take a good knock. Ears were super warm. Fits comfortably, looks much more expensive than it is!

I just received this ski helmet and I did have one minor issue with a tab on the helmet that wasn't the fault of the seller and an easy fix and it was remedied promptly by TurboSke customer service (Jack). That said, the helmet is very lightweight and comfortable. My son has a Smith helmet and in truth, I think this is lighter and a much better value. Some of the TurboSke helmet models do not come in the large size that is 59-63cm but I got the one that did and it fits great and adjustment is great. Only recommendation I have to TurboSke is I wish that they would make their helmet with a smaller or no logo as it would probably appeal to an even wider range of people who don't want to be 'seen' with an offbrand name but want a top quality, comfortable helmet. Either way, if this is an issue for anyone, you can easily put a sticker over the label but the bottom line is that the helmet is well made, comfortable, lightweight and low profile.

I used this helmet for the first time a week ago. Fit great. Felt comfortable. Was able to adjust to my head size with the adjustment knob in the back. I really like the helmet.I had one wipeout where the helmet saved my noggin but the helmet itself didn’t come out unscathed.Was finishing a run, about to the lift, hit a little dip in the snow. Wasn’t going very fast. I got turned around Backwards and caught and edge. Fell down pretty hard and whiplashed the back of my head into the ground. It hurt, I had a headache for a day or so. Glad I was wearing the helmet because it could have been worse. However the internal components of the tightening mechanism in the helmet busted!! So I can’t adjust the fit anymore, but the rest of the helmet is still in tact. It was a pretty hard hit, but I was surprised that there was any breakage at all. Better than my head though.

We always protect ourselves on the slopes, but my 15 year old needs to look good at the same time. This helmet matches it all, covers her head well and meets up right at her goggles. The fit is comfortable, and keeps your ears warm with the furry ear covers. I ended up buy another one for my younger daughter who no longer fits a kid size. I will be a repeat customer when I need a replacement helmet.
