Q: I have a 14 foot above the ground pool Should I get a 12ft or 15ft cover?

We got a 6-foot cover for an 8-foot pool above ground and it keeps good but there's room for cold if you know what I mean. I would get the bigger one you could always cut it to size I think would be fine but it keeps really well

Q: How long does it take to heat up a 12' round, inflatable pool? Also, how warm does it get?

We have a 45 x 25 foot in ground pool and when the pool water reaches a temperature of 82 degrees I swim laps. This is all dependent upon air temperature and sunshine

Q: Could someone that ( really ) knows tell me does it heat the water ?

The pool water warms up during the day from the summer heat and loses it at night as it cools down. The cover simply helps to hold in the heat during the night. The cover itself does not produce any warmth itself, however on a sunny day if your not in the pool leave the cover on and it really warms up the water.
