XTOOL A30 Pro Bi-Directional Scan Tool (2022 Version), OBD2 Scanner BT with Full System Diagnosis, Bi-Directional Controls, 15+Services, ABS Brake Bleeding, Oil Reset, Lifetime Updates

I've had it for a few months and everything seems to be great. Most of the problems I've had with it have pretty much-been user errors..There's a way to email a report from a vehicle but I haven't figured out why that keeps failing. I haven't looked into it too much as the Adobe cloud function works fine****update*****After working with the customer service department I was able to get the email issue resolve. I can’t say enough about their tech support and customer service.

We have used it on a number of cars and we think it beats the cheaper ones hands down. We especially love the feature where you are able to control and test sensors and it also the data for a vast number of sensors. I especially love that it is able to see many more sensors than my cheaper blue tooth and is also able to see the separate control computers down to even the door control computers. The immobilizer function in itself pays for the cost of the unit.

The reason I bought XTOOL A30 Pro is because this scanner has bi-directional and I got free lifetime software update. If it wasn't for the free lifetime software update I probably would not have chosen this scanner. XTOOL has excellent customer services.Update on February 28, 2023. After getting scammed by this seller and problem with the scanner I decided to change rating from 5 star to 1 star. If I could I would give zero star. This seller told me to buy another one of their scanners from Amazon and will give me a full refund on PayPal, so I'll be getting the scanner for free. After buying on Amazon the seller refuses to refund me on PayPal. I got all prove and evidence on Email.

I had a cheap one-way scan tool before but it does not do even half of what this tool can do. This 2-way device makes it way easier to troubleshoot all those little annoying things that seem to go wrong when you least expect them to. It does everything my previous cheap scanner did and way way way more. This is a little pricey, but it is worth the cost due to its never ending updates. I have a more expensive version of this (way more expensive xtool) but I find myself using this smaller one more often than the larger one. Plus this one has updates that don't expire. My other larger more expensive one will expire sometime this year.I recommend this tool for any home garage mechanic and even for a small business mechanic that needs a cheap tool for two way diagnostics that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Have used this to bleed the breaks on several cars over the past year, great for getting air out of the ABS module. Programed a handful of keys and Diagnosed several issues. Has worked on GM, KIA, TOYOTA, HYUNDAI, and NISSANS without issue. Great for getting air out of the ABS module. The functions and updates seem to keep coming in regular fashion and overall I'm pretty happy for a basic unit. From all the negative feedback I've seen, these seem to be individuals that either can problem solve the unit, diagnose their car, and/or don't have the skill set required to move beyond a simple lube tech skill set <and there's no shame in that. My only negatives would be it isn't super snappy like your modern phone and the display is very average.
