We wanted a remote control switch for our backyard LED string lights so we wouldn't have to plug/unplug them each time. This is way more than what we needed! While we still use it mainly as a remote switch, it's nice to have the option for it to turn on at dusk for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. Just keep in mind that when it's in one of those modes, it will turn on every evening, not just the night you set it.The remote is quite powerful. Our plug is under our aluminum deck, and it has no problem turning on from inside the house (through a wood cabinet, drywall, stucco, and aluminum deck from about 20 feet). It also works flawlessly from across our yard, about 50 feet away.We've only had it for about a month, and have not gone through a rainy season yet. If it lasts for many years, we will be extremely happy with it.

I purchase a whole house fan to help cool off our garage. We have a single car garage, so I installed the smallest fan available. I use the remote to turn the fan on or off, and it works perfectly. Great product.

After a recommendation for this sensor, I purchased one for our gazebo lighting. I loved it so much, I ended up buying 3 more for various areas of our landscaping. The sensor picks up light (or rather, lack thereof) perfectly. I read other reviews and it seems most people can't seem to figure out 1 of 2 things.1) THIS IS NOT A TIMER, BUT A SENSOR!!! So many people gave poor reviews because they want this as a timer. IT IS NOT A TIMER TO SET A SPECIFIC TIME. The wording of the ad is a bit confusing, but this is a photocell timer, which is completely different than an hourly set timer.2) So many reviewers say they can't figure out the features. Here's the breakdown so you understand how this works. I didn't even read the directions and figured it out. But apparently, the directions are more confusing than just using street smarts, so I'm glad I didn't read them or I would have probably been thrown off too. Apparently the directions talk about a dial. Other reviewers are correct...a dial doesn't exist. So here's how it works:I own 4 of these (all purchased at different times over the last year). When you push the button to light up 'power' the unit will turn on whatever item you have it connected to, until you turn it off yourself. When you push the button again to light up 'sensor' the unit will keep whatever item on from dusk until dawn (depending on what the sensor deems dusk to dawn). When you push the button to light up '2 hrs' or again for 4 hrs or 6 hrs or 8 hrs, the unit will turn on your item starting at dusk and keep it on for that allotted time. IF you have the sensor unit near other bright lighting, the sensor will not activate because it will still think it's light out

The shipment arrived one day earlier than schedule. This is a solid and versitile switch, very easy to operate. I have tried sensor function and remote function. Both functions work beautifully. With the sensor, the switch can turn on autimatically when it gets dark. I programmed it to turn off after two hours, and it did. This function will be good for my outdoor lights, especially Christmas lights. I like the remote function too. One of my torch light is in a hard to reach corner. I have to stretch myself to reach it each time. Now I plug it into this switch, very conveniently, I can turn it on and off like 20 feet away! Super happy with the purchase!

I bought one of these switches on 8/1/19. I also bought a DEWENWILS ODT12B Outdoor Light Sensor Timer on 6/25/19. They are EXACTLY the same switch and remote right down to the remote transmitter code "G" - see my photo.I have my Napoleon 110V grill ignitor power on/off controlled by the older Dewenwils switch and a string of outdoor LED lights that I installed today on the new switch from EcoPlugs. Both remotes work with both switches. It's not an issue in my case because the it's OK if the LED lights go on with the grill power but if you need two separate on/off switches be careful what you order because it looks like one company in China is making all these switches and just packaging them differently for various vendors.Don't get me wrong, it's a good switch and it works well. The timer works. it's a positive "click" on the remote and it's nice quality but it's the same switch from many suppliers and all have the same remote frequency. If you only need one switch, it's not an issue, if you need two on different frequencies a problem.The attached photo shows the two remotes from DEWENWILS on the left and the EcoPro on the right. See the little "G" sticker on the upper right side of the switch? That's the frequency and it's the same. The yellow label on the bottom of the switch on the left is from me - not the supplier. This makes life so much easier! Now I don’t have to go outside to unplug my lights in the freezing cold. Dual plugs are handy because I have a lot of lights.

This unit is such an improvement over my old manual remote controller for my Christmas lights. In the past I would sometimes forget to either turn the lights on or turn them off before going to bed. This controller has eliminated that. Now they come on at dusk and go off however many hours later that I choose. I have been using the 6 hour setting so they come on about 4:30 pm as it is getting dark and they go off around 10:30 pm. The closer we get to Christmas I may switch to the 8 hour setting. Just love it. May use it inside while away to turn on a light or two to look like we are there in the evening.

コンセントが日本仕様ではないので変換アダプターは必要ですが、リモコン操作できる範囲が広く、おそらく普通の家の壁なら問題なく屋内から屋外に設置したこちらのコンセントは操作できるのではないでしょうか。　耐久性は不明ですが、屋内からちょっと離れた屋外の投光器を点灯、消灯するという目的は十分に果たせました。　予備に追加注文を検討中です。　気に入りました。

結果使えませんでした。公共施設の2階にある冷却塔を高圧洗浄機で清掃するのに1階の水道のある場所にモーターを置き電源を取り2階迄ホースをひいて使用しましたが電波が届きませんでした。距離にして5～6ⅿ　位なんだけど全然ダメ 1ｍ位なら何度試しても大丈夫でしたが・・・評価が良いのと防水が決め手で買いましたがリモコンとしての機能が低すぎ・・・もしかして不良品なのかな？作業が一人減らせる予定で期待していたのに残念でした。
