GREENIES Breath Buster Bites

Now, this is just funny. Yesterday, my little dog had been barking and fussing at everyone and everything. She was upset and she was going to tell the world about it. She was bad at the rain, and wanted nothing to do with anyone or anything. My poor baby, was just having a bad day. That is until the mail person showed up with her Greeenies Breath Buster sticks. Once the person stepped out of the mail truck her mood changed. She started wagging her tail, jumping up and down and she even sat and said please. Now, that is before she even had the chance to see what was being delivered. I started to open the package of Greenies Breath Buster and one after another I little girl mood changed. When the first pack came out of the bag, she sat and waited her tail. The next pack, she sat up and said please. By the last pack she was dancing and jumping up and down. If you could have seen my little dog you would think she just found gold. This poor pup that was having a bad day and was so very upset was now playing. She was so excited to get her Greenies. Once she had her fix she was a different dog. I got kiss and she allowed me to play with her.I think my dog really like Greenies Breath Busters.Thanks Amazon the Greenies Breath Buster made an dog that was unhappy, to very happy dog.

I previously purchased all the flavors in the small 1.2oz pouches to see if my dog would eat them before buying the larger bag. My dog loved every flavor I gave to her. They smell like the flavors as indicated on the bag. It's a pleasant smell that isn't too strong and overpowering. They are about 3/4" in length and have the same texture as their full sized counterpart. One thing I wasn't happy about the packaging is that they never disclosed the quantity in each bag. The 1.2 oz bag only contained 6 pieces and I'm assuming the 11 oz bag contains about 55 pieces. I have 50 lbs pitbull and going off their suggested daily allowance I would used up a 1.2 oz bag everyday. At $2.50 a bag, it's too expensive treat to keep their breath fresh everyday. You get a better deal when you purchase the 11 oz bag, but it's still pricey if you give your dog the daily limits especially if you have larger dogs. My dog doesn't have bad breath, but this does makes your dogs breath a bit more pleasant initially. I say initially because the flavor smell lasts for like the first 10 minutes after giving it to them.I docked two stars on this product for a few reasons. One was because they don't list the quantities on the bags. I'm sure they did it on purpose because if you see that you are only getting 6 pieces for $2.50, you would pass it up. Which leads me to my next point, pricing. There are a lot of other "breath freshening" treats you can spend your money on that will give you the most bang for your buck. Lastly, I wasn't impressed with how long it's breath freshening properties lasted. I wouldn't recommend this for people who have medium to large sized dogs that is trying to control bad breath. This may be fine for people with small or toy sized dogs who purchase the 11 oz bags. If your dog loves the regular dental treats, they'll most likely like these.

I got my first bag at the local pet food as a “test out” buy. These are smaller sizes compare to the greenie teenie size because it’s meant to be a “treat” . Amazon price is 15% cheaper compare to the local store so I switched. Despite my effort of brushing my puppy’s teeth twice a day along with dental wipes, he still have puppy breath. These breath buster bites are perfect for anytime whenever my dog needs a “refreshing” breath moment. So far he has shows no allergic reaction such as vomiting, diarrhea, or choking. He is now 7lb 6 months old and going through teething stage, these does not get stuck between his teeth or stain his coat vs the milkbone dental chews. I bought the crisp apple flavor instead of the mint since it is meant to be a “treat” vs oral hygiene product. I like the refreshing Apple smell coming from my puppy’s breath after he chewed on this.

Review for all three flavors: Fresh, Apple and Chicken/parsley.Dogs love these! They LOVE the regular/large size greenies but they are able to eat those pretty fast, and they can only get one of those a day. These breath busters are like mini versions of those. They are the same consistency as the regular ones, just miniature! Since they are shadowy I'm able to give them a few of them as regular treats every so often.If you have never purchased the regular version of these greenies: these treats are not a super soft treat. You are able to hear them bite down on them so they are somewhat hard treats. I have no problem breaking them in half tho, so they aren't "crunchy" treats.They seem to like the Apple flavor the most (it smells super good)Next favorite is Fresh...then the Chicken/parsley ones (yet the love chicken, so I found that strange).*I have two rescued pit bulls, 55 and 65 lbs.

I love this product since this is the only treat that my dog looks forward to having. I give her two of the Breath Busters after her morning meal and two after dinner. She will even wait around, or alert me by barking like almost to say "Hey, I finished my meal, now where's my treat!!" Unfortunately, Greenies has discontinued the Breath Busters, so I'm not sure what I'll be able to find that will come close to these treats. So sad to see these come off the market.

Granted, I didn't try them BUT for my EXTREMELY particular dogs to gobble these up says ALOT! My dogs pretty nudge any treat that isn't beef flavored. These have a minty sort of scent I would say. They also really seem to help with the condition of my dogs breath and gums. I bought these 2 months ago, and since have taken my 2 dogs to the vet. She said their teeth looked GREAT (shocker). Last time I took them to the vet was for a teeth cleaning. The condition of their teeth wasn't great and my female dog needed a tooth extracted.
