SturbridgeCountry Rag Rug in Honey 24" x 36"

Just what I needed. I looked and looked for this type of rug. I wanted to replace 2 similar rugs by the garage entrance into the house and one by the front door. I was thrilled to find these on Amazon. they arrived in a very timely fashion. And the color was perfect. Mine two are going on wood floors. The reason for the 4 stars is definitely because of the smell. They did have a "strange" smell. but I threw them in the washer on delicate and most of that went away. I put them on a clothes rack to dry and they laid them in the sun for several hours. Odor all gone. I do realize this may sound like a lot to do for a rug you can use but I have found lots of things we buy now have a different odor to them. Why, because they do come from over seas. All and all these rugs are just what I was looking for.

Unfortunately, my experience with these rag rugs was not as favorable as that enjoyed by most of the reviewers here. Similar to those described in Skyhawk's review, my rugs were VERY poorly constructed. I can understand why the vendor recommends that the rugs not be washed in a machine. My rugs had so many loose/unraveled pieces of fabric and clumps of thread that I believe they would fall apart if washed in a machine. This is most unfortunate since they could have used a good wash: they reeked of mildew, as though the rags used to make them had been stored in bundles in very damp conditions for months. I've purchased hand-made rag rugs for use in my homes over several decades, and never encountered any that looked or smelled like these. To date, I have received no correspondence from the seller aside from an email telling me to mail them back at MY expense. The overall cost for my order was $52.00, and my shipping costs (from the vendor, and then back) have totaled $23.00. I'm posting pictures that show some of the very poor workmanship. I order from Amazon quite a lot, and in over fifteen years of purchasing, this is, hands down, the worst experience I've had. I understand that receipt of low-quality defective merchandise is a risk that online buyers take, but to have to pay the postage for shipping it back is just more than I'm willing to put up with. To date, I've not received acknowledgement of receipt or refund from the vendor.

I have several rag rugs from Sturbridge. All are substantial and wear well. I toss them in the washing machine when needed…but be aware! They do bleed. Wash with like colored items.

Was so pleased with this honey shade. Background is rather very light tan and the colors running through it are simple lovely. You get alot of the background color with some stripes of aqua, purple, red blue, olive, light touches of black and orange....all work beautiful together...this is a great got to kitchen color when you want a little classy bit of color to your floor.

Great quality rag rug - I am not disappointed in the rug!! I am disappointed it is a little stronger in color than I expected so it doesn't go in my place. The rag rug is quite nice!

I love this rug. I had actually ordered a different color (or thought I had?) and got the honey one I think instead (we were looking for more green), but this has so many colors it works well in our kitchen. Kaleo LOVES it. The first day we had it he wouldn't leave it. Get yourself a black cat to accessorize.

We ordered 2 of these. They look really nice. They seem to be good quality so I hope they stand the test of time. I'll update if I find out otherwise.These are rag rugs so they do slip around. But that is expected.I would definitely recommend.

This rug had a terrible odor that would not go away.
