Best $15 I've ever spent!
I bought this bag last summer for my first solo trip to NYC. I was skittish about getting stopped at the gate if my carry-on was too large, so I scoured Amazon for something perfectly sized to airline requirements and settled on this duffle. It was cheap and looked the part but I didn't need much for a short trip, and as expected, it worked great holding my clothes and souvenirs. I was happy enough with my purchase that I brought this bag along with me during my exchange semester in the UK a few months later. Since it was so small, I could pack it away in my checked suitcase and take it out when needed. I used it for a weeklong trip across the country and it held up perfectly, just as it did in NYC.But what *really* impressed me enough to write this review a year later was the trip I just returned from: a monthlong excursion back to NYC and then onwards to multiple countries in Europe. I originally planned on taking a rolling suitcase with me, but after trying to pack a few, I realised they fit very little because of how much space the wheels, handles, and overall structure ate from the sizing limits—not to mention the weight limit (I had a 10kg carry-on limit on Icelandair, and some suitcases I tried weighed 2-3kg!). This duffel is essentially a thin skin that shapes your stuff into a cube you can carry; it is as unobtrusive as bags get. With a month's worth of clothes to pack, I decided I would go for it and use this duffle for the trip, crossing my fingers that it would make it back in one piece. And make it back in one piece it did. Now with a few new scuff marks, but just as intact as the day I bought it. This duffle went above and beyond what I expected. I was able to use four packing cubes—two wide, two skinny—to perfectly fill out the base, then I managed to stack multiple folded tote bags, a sling bag, hiking shoes, and a laundry bag on top and still zip the bag up. The packing cubes contained 4 dresses, 2 sleeping shirts, 3 leggings, 3 thick jeans, 8 blouses, 3 skirts, 10 pairs of socks, and almost two weeks worth of underwear. More than enough for a month with stops for laundry in between. Besides the incredible amount of stuff I could fit in the bag, I also hauled it around through trains, planes, airports, streets, subways, and all manner of places every few days and the straps never gave an inch. I've tossed the bag on sidewalks, gotten it caught in heavy rain (and the tarp material actually kept my stuff mostly dry inside), kicked it around, and it has held up to *all* of that use with resilience. I even had to check it once because of a full flight and was so scared it would come back to me all ripped up because of how rough airport crew can be with baggage, but it was fine. The material is definitely on the thin side, and the straps are not at all comfortable to carry for long periods of time, but the bag and straps are much more durable than its looks or cost would suggest. I don't expect a $15 bag to have ergonomic straps, so I would say that in the context of the price and stated usage, this duffle has exceeded all of my expectations to become one of the best purchases I've ever made. I'll keep using the bag until one day all the wear and tear gets to it, then I'll go straight here and buy another one. Can't recommend it enough. :)

Strong, roomy bag for the price - with some caveats
It seems sturdy and reasonably well constructed for the price. I would definitely get the one with the strap! It can hold quite a lot and more than you think, and having to hold that rough hand strap would probably be quite uncomfortable.Pros:- Roomy, you can fit quite a lot in. Not sure how this would work if you stuffed it full and tried to fit it in the baggage checker at the airport, but it's soft-sided so you might be able squash it down.- The material seems strong enough. I can't see it ripping unless you put something very sharp inside. I can't speak on the stitching yet as I've only used it on one week trip, but it seems ok.- Outside pockets for easy access to little things. I love a bag with lots of pockets; this one doesn't have many but for my purposes there are enough.- It costs 12 quid. With all the costs of travelling, that seems appropriate.Cons:- The straps aren't really comfortable. I added a strap pad from a branded bag I wasn't using, but obviously if you don't have one that's an extra cost to consider. Using the strap without a pad would be very uncomfortable, I imagine.- There is no padding at the bottom of the bag. I added an old foam laptop case at the bottom to protect the contents, but again, it's another cost / thing to consider before buying.

Fits Many Discount Airlines
I originally purchased this to use on a Frontier flight (it fits in the sizer) for a week long trip. Then I found myself using it again on another week long trip, this time involving RyanAir and Turkish Air where it qualified for a personal item on both of those. It has been surprisingly sturdy despite all the traveling I've put it through (14 days of being on the move, collectively) and the only tearing in the stitching came from when the trolley sleeve got hooked on the armrest of one of the airport chairs and rather than patiently unhooking it, I yanked. It was an easy repair, though. And this bag, its color too, appears to be a popular choice. On each of my flights there was at least one other person with this bag and twice the bag in the same color -- although they opted for the additional strap. I found that I could wear this bag like a backpack simply using the two stock handles.I expect to have many, many more travels with this bag.

Staple during travel
I travel at least twice a year and I've taken this bag with each time in my luggage. It's thin and durable. I use this bag for mini overnight trips within my vacation instead of using my large luggage.I often pair this with my packing cubes too. It's large enough to fit clothes for 2 people for a couple of days. For those vacations where I buy too much, this bag comes in clutch as a extra carry-on or checked bag.I do refold the bag after each use. A bit finger strength is needed to push the fabric inwards and smooth it out. It's not a perfect rectangle, but it's very close to it.
