Honestly, the flavor was fine. I also liked the mushy consistency as it spreads nicely on bread. However, it is very salty. Also, the lid wasn't sealed as others commented. When I opened the bubble wrap, the lid was barely on the jar and some oil was out (very little oil, but there is still a problem with the lid design). Overall, I would probably buy this again. I bought something similar at Sprouts, and it was saltier and the consistency was clumpy. I prefer this soft, mushy consistency as it is easy to spread on toasted bread. I will try to make my own and soak the olives in cold water for a few hours so that the tapenade isn't so salty.

The oil/liquid from the olive tampanade leaked out of the jar in transit, and was a total mess! And, I don't think the olive spread will last long without the liquid/oil. I paid about $12 for this small jar!!! Ruined!!

The best of all, I add olive oil to it and eat it with a freshly homemade bread. A delicacy for Mediterraneans like me.

I've had lots of different tapenades but I guess none made in Spain. This has a very pasty texture with no hint of olives. It also was very bland tasting. I threw it out after just a small taste.

Really enjoyed this brand. I also purchased the Divina brand to compare. I prefer this to the Divina, I think the flavor is more interesting.

EDIT 2020:I bought this a good while back, so decided to treat myself again. Unfortunately this time the lid was not vacuum sealed on at all, and just opened right up, with no pop. :-/ Reduced from 5 stars to 3, because I’m not eating something not sealed.—-Delicious tapenade!

This is the second time I have ordered this product and on all 5 jars the lid was loose and not sealed anymore.
