I had heard good reports about mesh sanding products but they always seemed quite expensive. Having recently got a bargain random orbital sander I thought I would give these a try.I’ve been very impressed with the performance - the material removal rate is great. Two other things that impressed me most were how long the discs lasted without getting clogged up - at least four or five times as long as conventional sandpaper. Secondly, how good they were at reducing the amount of dust.I will certainly be using this type of abrasive again and will give it a try on my mouse sander and for hand sanding too. Recommended.

Used on my Ryobi R18ROS random orbit sander to prepare oak doors for finishing. The mesh like structure means there is much less dust escaping when used with a vacuum cleaner for extraction. I did not experience any clogging and the discs last a long time. Buying the cheap packs with many discs is a false economy when you can use just one good disc and save yourself a lot of time and ensure a nice smooth finish.

What a revelation these mesh pads are! Negligible dust, very rapid excellent finish and looooooong lasting to the point where cheaper, non-mesh pads really are a false economy. The included pad-saver is also a brilliant bit of kit.The cheaper paper-backed pads I have are confined to the hand-sanding hook pads

My first venture into mesh discs. Used these with a Dewalt 240v sander and was amazed by the performance. I did purchase several grades and all were excellent. Check out Southern Filters (UK) for smaller quantities.

More aggressive than standard sanding pads, anti clogging so longer lasting, a bit overpriced as you can purchase from dulux decorator centre for £3 cheaper, dewalt manufacture very similar pads are just as good and are over £5 cheaper for same amount of pads
