Yes the cat plays with this hanging toy when cat is bored.He will run and attack it, it's quite funny to watch.Sometimes cat does not play with it, this is normal (they get bored of toy, then come back later when they want to play).

Cat separated mouse from elastic in short order. I was able to reattach a couple of times but finally broke too short to reattach. Good while it lasted.

This can be hung anywhere, even without framing! It’s plastic/rubber tipped to prevent any damage to paint or door frames. I was able to hang it in an entryway between two rooms without any framing, and it actually stays in place. The mouse actually hangs in the air for my cat. He loves to fling it everywhere. he even enjoys watching it sway when there’s a breeze.As a side note, I have tangled myself in the elastic string and the wall clamp has not moved. Cat and I are very happy to have found this toy!

My cat adored this toy. He loved it so much, that he destroyed both of them in one day of them being hung up. He would bite through the elastic, so consider yourself warned if you have a cat that likes to chew. My other two cats enjoyed batting at the mouse and laying on the ground under it.Because of our "chewer" cat, we did put this up at night, he had gotten it wrapped around his paw a few times, no matter how high we would string it up. (He's a determined teenage cat) We are creatively trying to think of an alternative solution to his ability to chew through the elastic string. But all in all, a very enjoyable toy for our cats.
