This is a very nice heating pad. It fits nicely in a small bed. Nice long cord. Adjustable temp. I wish I fit in the cat bed.I got this for my cat so I can turn down the house thermostat. I put it in her bed which she loves and it fit perfectly.Being that she is a cat, and I spent effort/money on this, Cat now refuses to sleep in bed. Instead she prefers to be cold and leave hair on my couch.Don’t get this for your cat.If you do get this, get it for yourself or your dog. Make sure your cat knows it’s not for her.Update (12 hrs later): Cat hacked into Amazon account and read this review. Decided to “show me” and is now in her bed on the heater pad.Considering changing password on account.

I have two small Terriers that sleep inside an enclosed covered patio which gets fairly cold in the winter. Last year I purchased two Pets Fit indoor wooden portable Dog Houses and two heating mats from a different supplier. The dog houses are outstanding but the heating mats not so good. The problem with 100% of all other pet heating mats that I have researched is the length of the short thermostat cord. The pads I purchased last year had thermostat cords of 18"... way too short to route outside the dog house and place the thermostat in a useful accessible location AND away from the dogs. The seller of this particular mat could not, or would not understand the problem.Then, this year, I came across the Namsan Pet Heating Mat almost by accident. This pad fits the bill for a proper fit and the application I have been searching for. The floor on the Pets Fit Dog House is slightly larger than the 24"x18" Namsan heating mat and makes for a pretty good fit. The anti-biting thermostat cord on this mat is approximately 6 feet long; the longest I've seen anywhere. Since the dog house floor is elevated above the patio floor by a few inches, I can route the thermostat and cable through the floor bottom, up the back of the dog house which sits against the wall, and fasten the thermostat anywhere I want away from the two little terriers. The digital thermostat has a number of pre-set veterinarian recommended settings. We have had a few cold nights and the dogs spent the night in comfort, each in their own heated house. As I have only had the mats on-line for a couple of weeks it's still a little early for me to evaluate the reliability and continued operation, but the mats have been working outstandingly well since I turned them on, and the two little guys really love them.The delivery was fast and efficient. I would recommend this mat for anyone who has been looking for a mat with a sensible thermostat cable length.

I contacted the seller, was told to use a heat thermometer to see if it was heating,, well heck I can touch it and tell its not heating, then I was told to put something on it that is how it heats, and the directions tell you not to put anything on it .. then I was told it must have weight on it for it to heat, that is not what the advertisement said,, I did purchase a heat thermometer and it is not heating, this is a piece of crap and for the money I could have purchased or repurchased one I had three years ago which is still working.. not happy with this item at all... and for me living out in a rural area not worth the hassle of mailing it back... lesson learned... dwc

These are perfect for the bottom of a basket or of a cat bed. They offer the ability to control what heat comes out of them. I found the cords sometimes too short, but overall my cats love them. I took off one star because of the size. They are small only my smallest cat could get her it’s her body on the pad, but like I said, at the bottom of a cat bed or the basket or of a bag or a box these are great.,!

My cat turned 16 this year and it’s getting chilly in the skoolie at night. We already have a larger meeting pad for him but I bought him a wool bed and wanted to heat that as well so he could have more heated options. This is just the right size to fit in the bottom of the medium sized wool bed. As long as this is on, he’s in his ‘heaty hut’. He loves it. I have it on 40c and that makes him happy. I does seem to have an auto shut-off so I have to check it now and then to make sure it’s still on.

We have four cats and several heating pads around the house in cat beds. We also have one on the back porch in an enclosed box we fixed for a stray.

The devices Temp. Control is not saved. If you wanted to hook it up to a timer or a remotely controlled electrical outlet switch, it would not work, because the moment the power is turned off, the digital Temp control resets to its default, which is OFF. So you basically need to turn it ON then OFF whenever you don’t want it running, or leave it on for eternity. If we left the house for more than a day, and the power went off for just a second, the pad will turn off and there is absolutely nothing I can do to fix it. The maim electrical cable seems protected by corrugated plastic, but that only lasts as far as the Temp. Control goes, after that, it’s a thin wire. My cat likes to chew wires. One bite and shell cut it in half, and this is a risk. To bad the whole cable isn’t thick and protected like the other part.The temperature is very low. It’s say in the description up to 113 degrees. But you can barely feel the warmth. If it’s on a cold surface, it won’t work much.Better off using a different heat pad.

Hasta ahorita les ha servido mucho a mis gatos, sin embargo, no lo recomiendo si vives en un lugar con temperaturas abajo de 5°C por que no te va a servir, este tapete es más para lugares que si bien se ponen fríos durante el invierno, no tienen climas extremosos, ya que calienta pero tampoco tantísimo

A miscommunication with the groomer resulted in me getting my little Havanese back with a 1/4 inch cut all over, rather than just her face. Ack! She was freezing! In addition to buying lots of warm dog clothes for her, I put this where she sleeps with a fleece blanket over it to make it cozier. She loves it and it has made a world of difference in her mood to be able to get wam any time she feels a little chilly. It heats up quickly, the cord and controls are definitely robust and chew-proof (unless you have a really agressive chewer), and it's generously sized. She sleeps like a baby on this thing too. Its perfect in my opinion. Worth every cent.

Calienta muy bien

My dog loves it but you have to turn it up much higher than you would expect. It's not the most comfortable and you can't put a blanket over it or they won't get the heat as good. Seems safe and durable.
