I found this book a thoroughly honest and unsentimental dive into the experiences of those who farm our land today. I would recommend it to anyone who thinks that farmers enjoy a privileged life! It's hard work, wearing on the mind as well as the body, unpredictable due to our weather, and can be a very lonely business. Saying that, I very much appreciated and enjoyed it.
