Works great
This is a great little HDMI tester. With the receiver attached, it measures 3 3/4" x 4." It correctly identified as defective an HDMI cable that was giving me problems. I love the fact that you can separate the transmitter from the receiver. As a result, both ends of the cable don't need to be side by side. Another plus is that the company, Jonard Tools, has been around since 1958. Although the unit was designed here, it is made in China. What isn't these days? If you buy the unit and it won't turn on, relax. Mine came with a brand new 9V battery that was sealed in plastic but was dead. Once I replaced it, the unit worked fine.

Perfect For Spotting Junk Cables
Great tester for cables that I already suspected were trash (looking at you GE, Cable Matters, etc.). The real issue is that my setup requires ~20ft of HDMI from my PC to my HDR4K120pVRR TV which I would suspect would require a pretty solid HDMI cable anyway. Tool is a bit spendy for the price, but what's even spendier is buying multiple HDMI cords over time just to realize they are garbage. Here's a message for HDMI manufacturers: if you can't get consistent signals with your cables, DO NOT MAKE THE CABLE IN THE FIRST PLACE. It's very easy to use (I haven't tested HDMI Mini and I am unsure if this works on Active HDMI cables), but at the end of the day it is worth the money especially if you keep getting dropped signals and/or other video/audio issues.
