Outsider

For the fans of the British rock band Queen, drummer/singer Roger Taylor needs no introduction. And Queen fans will be the largest number of purchasers of this album. But it is an inventive and engaging performance for all fans of pop music. At age 72, Roger Taylor has lost none of his musicality and ability to write memorable melodies and intelligent lyrics that speak directly to the angst and tumult of the pandemic age through which we are all struggling. Standouts for me, songs that resonate in my head after the album has stopped playing, include "I Know I Know I Know", "Gangsters Are Running This World", "Isolation", "Outsider", and "Foreign Sand". Roger Taylor was a huge vocal support to Freddie Mercury in Queen's live performances; a fact one can hear when listening to a live album; although he got no recognition at the time. But in this solo album, Taylor's warm yet raspy voice is a perfect complement to the songs and their messages he has created for this album. I think Freddie would have given this album a warm endorsement. I do.

Great solo album by the legendary Roger Taylor. I love all his solo work but recognize the cringeworthy nature of some of his let's say...."choices". However this is an all around solid release. Great melodies.....quirky choruses.....some clever (and yes cringeworthy) lyrics. But the positives far outweigh the negatives on this one. Highly recommend!!

Way too mellow for my taste

Album made during lockdown solely by Taylor is a surprisingly good album.

Another great album from Roger Taylor. Have always been a huge fan of Queen but really love his solo stuff. His last three solo albums have all been great and Outsider is the same. Highly recommended!

I just love Outsider by Roger Taylor. My favorite song is “We’re All Just Trying to Get By” because it descries just how I feel. KT’s added vocals are outstanding and Roger is awesome.

Roger still has that lovely voice and his songs are a mix of ballads and rockers. Thoroughly enjoy this album! He still has got it!

Todo correcto.

Taylor, lo si creda o meno, e' uno dei piu' influenti batteristi del rock.Musicista straordinario, ha dimostrato nel tempo anche grandi doti di songwriter ed una voce meravigliosa.Questo è il suo album meno bello, alla fine è come il precedente una summa di canzoni nel cassetto, riedizioni, ecc: ne esce comunque un prodotto bello, godibile e meritevole dell'investimento.La voce graffia sempre, le canzoni sono carine, in taluni casi belle: non possiamo pretendere di piu' da un uomo che a 75 anni ha dato tutto e continua di tanto in tanto a divertirsi con la musica.

Excellent album from an excellent multi instrumentalist. Came on time in great condition.

Disco plagado de buenos temas pop-rock, muy variados y con gran sonido y de calidad. Además esta a un precio interesante.
