Works well. Love that is has a bracket to hold it on the bike/scooter. It is heavy so like that I dont have to carry it on me.Warning, if you hit a hard bump, the lock may come out of its bracket. Suggest using a velcro strap to keep it securely in place.

Love how sturdy this is and how it is not the most ugly thing you have ever seen! It is pretty heavy, I will admit!

I was looking for a lock that would leave me feeling secure with my new bike. I ride my bike to the grocery store and like to go for long rides on greenway, where I may stop and picnic. I wanted a lock that wasn’t as bulky and heavy as the standard U lock. I also didn’t want those padded chains that rattle and mess up your peaceful, enjoyable ride. I also found that the padded chains don’t have a very high security rating when I researched that.I read several bike gadget reviews online and the FOLDYLOCK appeared on several. I liked the flexibility and the very strong security rating. A U lock limits what you can lock your bike to.It arrived and it is heavier than it looks! You might think it is just plastic from the picture, but that is just a coating on substantial metal. It isn’t as heavy as a U lock for lifting it. It also makes a much nicer profile when attached to your bike. With U locks, you tend to want to leave them behind if you think you won’t need it because you bump your knees into it and it takes up so much space on your bike frame.Very, very pleased with this lock. If you want/need flexibility on what you lock your bike to and want to feel secure about leaving your bike — this is the lock for you.

I feel the uniqueness of this lock deters theft. It is a solid, easy to use lock. It is heavy tho, but can be stored nicely any where bottle cages can go on the bike. Folds up into a neat and compact size too. If weight is not a problem, and security is a must- buy this lock. Only complaints are- it’s not super long, so locking two bikes to a rack may take some manipulation due to the rigid straight sections of the lock- these straight sections limit flexibility, therefore shortening the overall length. Also, tho unlikely, if you dropped this lock on a thinly painted frame it could damage the paint- its heavy. Especially if you traveled with the lock on your bike while the bike was in a bike-rack on a car, the vibrations would definitely cause paint wear.

This is exceptionally convenient to use and carry. The included bracket mounts easily and holds the lock securely without rattling, and even the mini version of the folding lock provides much more space and flexible locking options compared to the small U-lock I used previously. Security is perhaps a bit less, but in a world with portable angle grinders I don’t know how much that matters—though it does seem like this would only have to be cut in one place to remove, whereas a U-lock that secures at both ends would require two cuts. I purchased mainly for short-term, daytime use in reasonably visible locations with a moderately-priced bike, and the tradeoff seems like a win so far.

If your bike is parked where it is not visible to to the public, then, where's there's a will (and the technology) there's a way. Having said that, in 98% of the situations that typically occur, this lock will greatly discourage most bike thieves who vastly prefer the "hit and run" option. Seems to me then that statistically this type of lock is pretty "secure." It works as advertised and is well made. The whole concept, the folding aspect in particular, is brilliant and moves easily. It is hefty but you should expect that. I will say this is not the only brand with similar features so do your homework and search for your options from other dealers. If you've invested a great deal in a bike, (and especially if it's not unusual for you to leave your bike unattended for long periods of time) the expense is worth it. I will say carefully consider the diameter of the opening because it's not probably going to reach quite as far as you might prefer. You may have to search for other objects to secure the bike to. This is usually only a minor inconvenience. Very large poles sometimes have too much girth to handle the lock's diameter. Depending on where you attach it to your bike (concealed in a bike trunk would be the ideal) gravity (under some circumstances) and road vibrations may cause the case (w/lock) to change position during the course of a ride. This is relatively minor but something to consider. I'm very happy with the purchase. I imagine that chain-type locks of longer length are a bit easier to use (and more flexible for sure) but they are probably more vulnerable to being cut.

This is my go-to lock.I love how it attaches to my bike, it is unobtrusive and doesn't rattle around when you ride. I have two other folding locks and this is the best made one by far.It has a silver rating, which is as good or better than a lot of U-locks out there.My only nitpick, not worth dropping a star, is that the key is a little bulky. I wish they gave a smaller/sleeker one. That being said, they are laser cut, which are harder to pick.Like most locks, I wouldn't keep my bike outside overnight if at all possible. A determined thief can get through most locks regardless of the strength rating, and the public usually will not care or say anything if they see it happen.

海性品のロックですが、造りはしっかりしており無骨な感じです。重量は残念ながら軽くはなく重いので持ち運びできない重さでありませんが、１㎏近い重さです。ただ、収納性がよく小さく折りたためるのでバックにも入りやすく使い勝手は良いです。また樹脂製のホルダに入れれば、ガチャガチャといった嫌な音も出ないサイレント仕様です。キーは珍しく３本も付属しています。ホームセンターでコピー不可なディンプル（溝タイプ）になるため紛失したら切断しかないため、その点気を付ける必要があります。電動キックスクータの施錠で使用していますが、盗難の抑止力にもなりますしコンパクトな大きさなので持ち運びにも適しており自分の用途にはピッタリでした。

ミニという名前ですが800g強あるので軽量級といった感じではありません。あくまで同社のフラグシップモデルよりは小さいという意味ですね。手持ちのAbus 6055/60と比べると一回り大きくてゴツいサイズ感です。Abusでいえば5700/80に相当するクラスかな？並の価格のスポーツサイクルには強度と重さが丁度よいバランスかも知れません。英国のセキュリティ認定のSold Secureレーティングでもこのモデルはシルバー認定されているようなので、性能は折り紙付きと言っていいでしょう。ガワはプラスチックで皮膜されているので安心して使えます。フレームやホイールを傷つけない保護という意味はもちろんですが、工具による破壊行為に対しても軟性のあるプラスチックで皮膜するのは効果的なのではないかと思います。また弱点となりうるチェーン同士のつなぎ目の隙間もきっちり処理されています。可動部の動きも滑らかで、設計や組み立ての精度の高さが伺えます。滑らかすぎてホルダーに入れてない状態だと重力でスルスル伸びるくらいです（笑）ホルダーを使わずにバックパックに入れたりする場合はゴムバンドとかあると良いかも知れません。75cmの長さなのであまり余裕はありませんが柵やガードレールなどと地球ロック出来る長さです。自転車は一人でもひょいと持ち上げられる軽さなので盗難防止には地球ロックは必須でしょう。付属のホルダーはドリンクホルダー用のダボに取り付けるか、フレームに取り付ける形になります。いずれの方法でもフルサイズのスポーツサイクルなら問題なく取り付けられると思われます。また自転車のみならず、今話題の電動キックボードなどの小型EVにも推奨されているモデルのようです。パッケージにその旨が書かれてますし、動画でも電動キックボードに使ってますね。スポーツサイクルだと少し重さも気になりますが、電動キックボードなら気にならないと思われるので確かに相性は良さそうです。また原付二種などの小型オートバイとの相性も良いのではないかと思います。カブなどは人気で盗難も多いようなのでプラスαの防犯は大事です。
