Learn Egyptian Hieroglyphs, Tracing Book: Learn how to writing and read Egyptian Hieroglyphs

Loved tracing each symbol, it really helped !

I am taking the "Decoding the Secrets of Egyptian Hieroglyphs" course and I thought this workbook would help me practice my writing. I was wrong. It is NOT for someone who wants to learn using the Gardiner sign list.There are a lot of discrepancies compared to what I've been learning. Like the "E" and "Y" symbols being depicted the same as "I". K and C are depicted with the same symbol. They have an "O" which does not appear in the Egyptian alphabet. They include the later "L". Not to mention how they have the wrong words for what the hieroglyphs represent. They say that the "I" is a feather instead of a reed leaf, the "A" is a falcon instead of a vulture, etc.Now, I would forgive all this if it were truly a good workbook to practice how to write the hieroglyphs, but there is no step-by-step or stroke direction or anything. You just trace the symbols with no rhyme or reason.

The larger and then smaller tracings were very helpful.

Not what I was looking for

Was expecting actual Egytian writings with accompanying explainations.

Was not what advertised

Dislike. Nothing to do with the way its sold.

Good book for learning how to draw hieroglyphs by tracing them.
