Great Fit and Function
My old hoods were 'sticky' depositing gunk on my gloves and then my handlebar tape. I thought my gloves were wearing out but it was the hoods so we replaced them with these. Cycling is just better with equipment that's in great working order!

Not So Hard After All
So I just recently bought myself a 2010 Specialized Tarmac Pro Dura Ace. I had originally planed on flipping this one but ultimately decided to keep it. I had just goten new Specialized bar tape and decide to replace the old worn hoods as well.I've never replaced hoods before and after reading several reviews about difficulty getting them on to the extent of some tearing the hoods during the application i'm a bit wary but go for it anyway.I flip bikes for extra cash . So i'm familiar with applying regular bike grips and decide to approach theses the same. I use 91% alcohol that I have in a spray bottle for just this type of thing. I pulled the old hoods up enough to spray alcohol under the one i'm working on. Pulling straight over the hump in the shifter I get the hood off about half way before needing to respray more alcohol because of drying.(Which is also why this method of grip removal/ application is preferred by me. for the simple fact that it leaves no residue.) With the second spraying I'm able to remove the hood. There is some tugging involved so be ready to take your time.Because using alcohol on your shifters dissolves the grease in them, I thoroughly clean and re-lube the sifters before applying the new hoods. After liberally spraying the inside of the hood with alcohol I begin the application. Applying the hood over the lever the alcohol dries with the hoods on about half way on at the hump. A couple more squirts and some maneuvering I'm able to get them both on in about 10 m. And they look great with the new tape!I took some pictures of my work. Feel free to message me with any questions. I'd be happy to help if I can. Thanks for reading.

Received the items early as expected. To fix the replacement hood, very easy as you can see and learn it from the youtube.

The ones I received were genuine Shimano hoods. You really can't go wrong with them. Other aftermarket hoods simply have not lasted for me (both of the other major competitors). No fancy colors, but they just work. Great product!

Very Happy with These Hoods
Exactly what I was looking for. I installed them myself after watching a Youtube video. It required some muscling back and forth, but was worth the effort. They look perfect! Very happy with these hoods.
