Marshaltown tools are typically among the best in most cases, sadly the plastic that they choose to use is really soft and it produces a rougher finish than a resin float but weighs a whole lot more. I feel that if the plastic used was a harder material it would not only finish better but it would not wear so quickly. I believe I will end up changing out the plastic for more durable materials might even try a piece of carbon fiber and see if that holds up better. To better clarify, I haven't been using the float on anything but floating fresh wet concrete yet it shows more wear alreadyin just two weeks than my old marshaltown resin hand float that has been abused for 3+ years.
