Another wonderful edition
And so I've completed another of John Flanagan's series and enjoyed myself thoroughly doing it. Well written with no damsels in distress in sight.

I GET BY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS
The kingdom is under siege...the insurrection has driven the ruling family into their last safehold...the traitor is revealed!!!What started off as a way to bring their unruly child under control may now be the only way to save everything. Princess Madlyn...or simply Maddie the Ranger...remains a free agent. Able to move about the castle and the kingdom, she...along with a few of her more violent friends...need to free the trapped kingdoms forces and return with them to Araluen destroy the Red Fox Clan's plan for the monarchy before they overthrow and kill her whole family? This is the conclusion of the story that started in Book 2 of the Royal Ranger - THE RED FOX CLAN. The author has done something in this book that has not been in any of the other books of the Ranger's Apprentice. He takes Will and Halt completely out of the picture by sending them off on a mission to investigate rumors of the Red Fox Clan's plans elsewhere. And, while, Will has truly been the focus of the series until now, Flanagan skillfully writes this new adventure with Maddie as the focal point and delivers another fun and exciting story in the series...AND...thank goodness wraps up the continuation from the last book without any dire cliffhangers at the end. Flanagan is truly at his best when he is giving his readers the interaction between the older mentors and the younger apprentices, and, while that was missing in this book, he is able to create an adventure that captures the best of the series while laying its own groundwork for the future. And there will be more journeys for the ROYAL RANGER as book 4 has been announced for this coming fall of 2020.Oh...and BTW...King Duncan...!!!

fantastic read
How does Flanagan do it? He manages without fail to produce book after book of amazing fantasy reads. It’s smooth, not campy. Will make you laugh out loud, cry and just get sucked into the read itself. Bravo Mr. Flanagan. Wonderfully done, God bless you.

Fantastic! As usual!
I've read every book in John Flanagan's Ranger's Apprentice, Royal Ranger, and Brotherband books... and every one of them is fantastic! Exciting, fun, clever, and with excellent historical accuracy. These are a must-read for any age. You will not be disappointed if you give them a try!

Good continuation from part 1
Picks up right where it left off. At some parts seem to carry on and on but was well detailed. Interesting to see if there will be another book in the series and if this two part book trend will continue. I read it in a day and was a good read!

Another good story by John Flanagan
It's a good 2 parter about the royal ranger. I wasn't sure how I would respond to the new series. I like the antics of halt and will a lot. Having the first 12 books be mostly about 1 or the other was fun. But these 2 books held my interest. Probably cuz of how much Gillen and Horace were in there. Excuse me if I spell them incorrectly. I actually haven't read a single book in the series. I listen to audible.Without spoiling anything, I just wanna say that I love it when John crosses stories over. Loved it when he brought Erak and the Skandians in... Loved the brotherband chronicles and how a couple of those books included some time with Gillen. Crossover more. Maybe make some short stories that help to fill in the timeline...This was another fun book. Well worth reading

Amei!
A série é mto divertida e empolgante, apesar da situação ja ter sido trabalhada em outro momento é mto divertido ver como o autor aproveita aspectos novos da historia e situação.

It won't let you down, not as good as previous books though
This is a solid story, however it is not as exciting as the previous instalments in the series.

Continuation of a great series
Another great story from John Flanagan! My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. Longtime favorite series, from the original Ranger’s Apprentice. An excellent series for kids…young and old!
