Natural Balance Delectable Delights O'Fishally Scampi - Tuna Salmon, & Shrimp Cat Food | Grain-Free Wet Stew for Cats | 2.5-oz Cup (Pack of 12)

I have a cat with pancreatitis and feeding has been a huge struggle. She has lost so much weight and basically refuses to eat the expensive prescription food the vet recommended. I imagine it tastes like what it is, very bland. I have been on the hunt for something non prescription that meets the basic requirements while still being palatable to her so she actually eats. There is a lot of advice out there on the Internet about limited foods and bland foods, but honestly, a lot of people don't really know what they are talking about and nutrition facts are hard to come by with cat food. I finally found one blog written by someone with veterinary knowledge who gave nutritional breakdowns of numerous food options that would be ok for a cat with pancreatitis. This one was one of their recommendations and it actually looked pretty good to me. It is quite low in fat and high in protein, and of course grain free. It doesn't seem to have any excessive, unnecessary fiber that is hard to digest, either. I mix it with a little bit of digestive enzyme powder to aid the process, just to do all I can do for her. So far, the big news is that my girl LOVES it! Even with other foods she liked, she would eat a little bit and walk away, then come back in an hour. With this, she eats until she can't eat anymore. I've never seen anything like it from her, she gobbles it right up. It is so heartwarming to see. It will take a while before I can really tell if it has any effect on her pancreatitis, but my hopes are very high!

The media could not be loaded.  Our cats are typically big fans of this food, but at least two days in a row I found several large fish bones… I had to spend a while spooning around to make sure I’d removed them all. I’m hoping this was just a bad batch but it was alarming. Definitely keep an eye out just in case.

I bought two flavors, the O’fishally scampi and the Life’s a Beach. My cat loves the Life’s a beach which is a pâté but leaves behind all the pieces of fish in the scampi. She seems to really like the flavors of both, only the gravy in the scampi and all of the pate.

My cat is allergic to chicken and it is very hard to find a product that does not have any chicken in it. This is one of the few that I can feed her. She seems to always enjoy it. My cat highly recommends life‘s a beach!

I moved from a house with tons of land into an apartment in the city a year ago and it took awhile for my cats to adjust. The city life is too busy for them, so even though they love and miss the outside, they got super spooked when I tried to leash-walk them around my complex. They are both really good on the leash but the area is too noisy. They play inside and enjoy being out on the balcony, but one of them in particular gained a ton of weight from being so inactive. He also began to gobble his food without even chewing.I needed an alternative to his other food without spending an arm and a leg. We purchased some very expensive grain-free dry food, but I also wanted to mix in a protein-rich, low calorie food that would be easy for him to digest. My cats LOVE this food. They haven't been on it for too long, but we're already seeing results: he eats less food, he isn't throwing up from over-eating, and he just seems like a happier, more energetic kitty!Wet food is always more expensive, but this product has definitely been worth it so far. We will probably continue to use this product even after we move somewhere with a big yard where they can get exercise.

UPDATE JUNE 2015.Since the labels have changed on the cans (i understand the company was recently bought out) the food quality has diminished. On my most recent order of 2 cases, these cans come with soupy type food in it, no consistency. it used to be more like a pate and actually needed a fork to remove it from the can, now you can actually just pour it out into the cat bowl. I have opened 3 cans so far and the cats are eating it but i have noticed that they are throwing up more then the usual "hairball". I will update if this continues, and it seems that i will be seeking another brand of food unless they go back to the original formula.WHEN I SAW THESE CASES ON SALE HERE ON AMAZON FOR $24.99 I JUMPED ON IT (THE CASES HAVE SINCE GONE UP TO $36.98) EVEN THOUGH I JUST PURCHASED MY CATS MONTHLY SUPPLY OF 2 CASES ON NOV 23 HERE FROM AMAZON. SADLY, WE ARE INTO OUR 7TH CAN OF THIS NEW ORDER AND ALL CANS APPEAR TO BE A BIT DRIER THEN OUR PREVIOUS ORDERS OF THE SAME BRAND PURCHASED HERE ON AMAZON WHICH REQUIRES US TO ADD WATER TO IT AND MIX IT IN. MAYBE THE CASES WENT ON SALE DUE TO THIS BATCH BEING KNOWN TO BE A BIT "DRY" COMPARED TO THE OTHER CANS WE HAVE ORDERED HERE IN THE PAST, WHICH WERE JUICY WHEN OPENED AND REQUIRED NO ADDITIONAL WATER TO MOISTEN THIS FOOD UP A BIT. WILL STILL ORDER AS IT COMES STRAIGHT TO OUR DOOR AND THE CATS LOVE THIS MAKE. DONT GET ME WRONG, OUR CATS LOVE THIS FOOD AND BASICALLY WILL NOT EAT ANY OTHER NATURAL BALANCE FOOD (GO FIGURE) THEY ARE STUCK ON THE LOW CALORIE. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THIS SOLE ORDER OF THE 2 CASES WE JUST RECEIVED AS BEING TOO DRY. OTHER THEN THAT ISSUE 5 STARS ALL OF THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!..

I have 2 cats who are both finicky eaters. Lately, all they want to eat is dry food. Although I buy them quality all natural dry food, they are both starting to gain weight, and I prefer they don't eat a diet of only dry food. I tried just about every brand of canned food I can find. At best they pick a little, and walk away. I decided to order a case of Natural Balance Canned Cat Food Reduced Calorie Formula, and see what happens. Much to my surprise, they really like it. Right off the bat, they ate the whole can. Although it costs about twice as much as the average 6 ounce can of food found in supermarkets, in my opinion it is well worth it. It has less calories than regular food, and there is no comparison when it comes to ingredients. There are no byproducts or artificial ingredients found in most other pet foods. The biggest positive in my case is that my cats like it. Yes, I'll be spending more money from now on, but they're worth it.

好き嫌いが激しく食べ飽きもする我が家のネコさんが、これは飽きることなく食べてくれています。毎回箱買い。これとK9の缶詰、あとアルモネイチャーの素材系缶詰フードしか、今は食べません。新規開拓も不発に終わり…。これに食べ飽きたらおしまいなので、毎食他のフードとローテーションして飽きないようにしています。

probably great cat food, but our cat does not like it :(maybe buy the fish option if your cat likes fish! ours likes that one better.
