Brilliant takes all correspondence neat and tidy and easy to move around

Strong, looks smart, very well made. Wheels enable it to be moved easily, even when full. Little niggle, when folding the lid back to enable full access to files, everything falls out of the lid pockets. Maybe this could be solved by adding some velcro fastenings to the pockets? That is what I have done and it has solved the problem.

Good size fit for purpose document box

The width of this box is stated as 12.2 inches which is sufficient for A4. However it has an internal width of 11.3 inches (287mm) which is not. Even the external dimension is only 11.7 inches.Other than the dimensions being different to the advert, it seems to be well made if you just want a storage box rather than a filing box.

I see other reviews has questioned the quoted internal dimensions quoted, and unarguably this item is not cheap, however, as a 'safe-store' for a decent quantity of precious (to you) documents and possessions it will serve its purpose as a safeguarding repository and protect the contents against all but the most catastrophic incidents. There's even special sections to hold specific items and the whole thing is lockable (and wheelable - which is handy in the likely context of storing it in the attic or some such confined space). The construction seems such that it bids likely to last well and, perhaps least relevant but still welcome, it isn't unsightly. In short this strictly functional item will do what is asked of it and do so for a probable lifetime. And so little more could be reasonably asked of it. Recommended.

When the zips sit in the lock there can still be a gap open which I imagine if there was a fire it would get into it. Its also not as big as said it was. If it was 30 euro maybe it would be worth it but for 55 definitely not.

Dieser feuerfeste Dokumentencontainer wurde mir im Rahmen des VINE Programms kostenlos zum Test überlassen.Dennoch dürfen Sie eine möglichst objektive Rezension erwarten.Die Box wird zusammengefaltet geliefert, lässt sich aber sehr einfach zur Box aufklappen. Die Box bietet genug Platz, um ein paar Ordner darin unterzubringen.Auch Schlüssel, Kreditkarten, Sparbücher, Wertpapiere etc. finden Platz.Ob die Box einem ausgewachsenen Feuer lange Stand hält, kann man getrost bezweifeln. Selbst in der Werbung zu der Box wird nur ein paar Sekunden lang ein Gasbrenner drauf gehalten. Das besagt über die Feuerfestigkeit kaum etwas.Immerhin sind die dort verstauten Unterlagen aber sicher besser geschützt als in einem Schrank oder Schreibtisch.

Ich hab die Kiste bestellt, um auf dem Dachboden achivierungspflichtige Dokumente und Backups zeitlich geordnet zu lagern.Dabei hab ich nach eine robusten Lösung gesucht, die im Zweifel auch Wasser (Regen oder Löschwasser) standhält.Auf Grund der fehlenden thermischen Isolation ist mir klar, dass bei einem Vollbrand nach kurzer Zeit der Inhalt eines derartigen Saves sich auf Grund der Umgebungstemperatur selbst entzündet – meine Hoffnung beruht darauf, dass man sich etwas Zeit bis zum Eitreffen der Feuerwehr erkauft.Zum Produkt an sich:Die Abmessungen sind angenehm kompakt, so dass man die Kiste gut ins Kellerregel bekommt.Ordner passen nur liegend rein (max. 3 große Ordner) wobei auch noch etwas Platz für Datenträger, USB Sticks und Festplatten bleibt.Zum Archivieren ist auch das Beschriftungsschild praktisch und dass man die Kiste theoretisch mit einem Nummerschloss sichern kann.Da die Kiste allerdings nicht aus Stahl ist, und ein Bösewicht alternativ die ganze Tasche mitnimmt, bleibt der Nutzen des Schlosses begrenzt.Kurz Feuerzeug dran gehalten und das Seitenmaterial hält der Flamme Stand.Der Reißverschluss und das Schloß würde aber nicht Stand halten.Der Reißverschluss ist aber sinnvoller Weise so angebraucht, dass weder von oben kommenden Wasser noch im Falle, dass der Verschluss verbrennt, der Deckel auf den Inhalt fallen würde.In Summe eine preiswerte und stabile Aufbewahrungsbox, die auch im Ernstfall Schutz des Inhaltes verbricht.

Aufgrund der Produktbeschreibung hatte ich mich verleiten lassen, dieses feuerfeste Produkt zu kaufen. Allerdings erschien es mir nicht wirklich der Beschreibung entsprechend. Zudem passten die Dinge, die ich hineinpacken wollte, nicht hinein - trotz vorherigem Abmessen. Somit ging es umgehend wieder zurück.
